Hotel Lucerne

In the quieter part of New York, the Upper west side. Close to Central Park. Spacious well appointed rooms. Clean. Great staff.

Old school clean, quiet hotel. Friendly, helpful staff

Very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, which I appreciate very much. Very convenient to museums and Central Park, and a lot of restaurants.

The only thing was that it didn't have a microwave or a refrigerator. But we survived.

Lost hot water one day, but it was corrected

I never got into a room

The employee was completely helpless and there was a group of 12 people eventually waiting to get into rooms at 1am.

The room with double beds was much larger than expected. The bathroom was very nice.

NYC is very expensive to visit.

A comfortable stay. The staff are courteous and the location is good. The rooms are comfortable. I love that they give you a discount for breakfast at Nice Matin, which is adjoining.,

Hotel was very comfortable and quiet, you didn’t feel like you were in a large noisy city. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the staff was very accommodating.

This is the third time I’ve stayed here. I like the location but the hotel is old and needs updates.

The bathroom had a leak when turning on the left faucet, water pools there as evident from a brown water stain, the room was noisy, and the view was a brick wall. The air conditioning/heating came on and off waking me. My sister’s room had a great view but her room the air felt like a swimming pool and there was no pool?? Bizarre. The athletic room is tiny but it works.

Had breakfast at restaurant right next door. Very good and got a discount on check.

The hotel was excellent and exudes classic charm. The Lucerne's location close to Central Park, The Museum of Natural History and easy access to the subway exceeded expectations. Nice Matin, the onsite restaurant has a bustling, yet cozy atmosphere, with delicious, tasty food & the chocolate soufflé desert is beyond delicious!

*One morning there was an employee who opened our bedroom door 7:30am, waking us up.

The restaurant, Nice/Matin, was excellent

The room A/C didn't work properly, so it was nice and cool during the day but the entire family kept waking up each night drenched in sweat because it was so hot. Three days, and couldn't get a decent night's sleep.

The location is in a residential area so it is safe & free street parking during the weekend is a bonus

No Exhaust fan in the bathroom

Location was perfect for my event at New York Historical. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was upgraded to a large suite and very clean. Price was very reasonable. Breakfast was quick and delicious with a discount.

Great location! Close to Central Park, restaurants, and subway. Quiet, clean, and comfortable.

The room was clean and well furnished.

The first night, I was given a room right next to the gym and ice machine. There was constant noise from people in the gym, slamming the door, and collecting ice in metal buckets. I was not able to sleep that night, and the hotel refused to give me a different room (saying that they didn't have one) or to move me to a different facility.

Conveniently located, good food, friendly and professional staff

Not that anyone can do anything about it but the elevator was so slow!

This hotel is in a great location - near subway and near central park, upper west side. air conditioning worked very well

The rooms are small and quite old/tired.
