Great location and good breakfast on the go. Complimentary glass of wine in the evening, and complimentary water was a really nice touch.

Cleaners were very noisy and one day our room wasn't cleaned at all

Super stylish and great location

The tusk bar was occupied by non residents for corporate events and the only night we could use it they closed it at 2315. So didn’t have a single drink in the bar!

We stayed at Evelyn for a week, hotel staff were absolutely amazing so massive shout out to them all and thanks for your hospitality during our stay! Location was also a solid 10/10, we were located right in Manhattan off 5th Avenue with Empire State Building and Flatiron right near us. We were also a brisk walk away from 28th St Subway that linked us to anywhere a tourist would want to go!

Our room was on the top floor at the back of the building and quite often we found that Wifi would randomly drop in this area. I also found our room to be quite small for our stay, it's maybe something I could have researched better and booked a bigger room but our bed took up most of the space and it felt quite cramped. Only one person at a time could walk past the bed to get into restroom.

Very small room

Staff were all lovely and attentive and the location was perfect for exploring New York. The grab and go breakfast was great and staff for so speedy and on it with the orders. We missed the free wine hour as the days didn’t align for our stay but a great perk!

The room was quite small and slightly tricky once you had your luggage and two people in it but everything else made up for that.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Evelyn for our Wedding in New York! The hotel was in a great location 2 minutes down the road you can see the empire state building, I loved the art deco moody style of the hotel which was one of the reasons I choose it! The rooms were very stylishly decorated with one of the most comfortable beds we have had in a hotel for a long time! The queen rooms aren't the biggest but you don't spend much time in your room anyway and it has a big wardrobe with a light to put everything in. Loved the bathroom design with a powerful shower and amazing shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser to use! The hotel was extremely clean and tidy everywhere. Another room in our booking was the suite for 3 people which was alot bigger than expected and very good value for money! The breakfast was grab and go which I didn't expect to be that good but it exceeded expectations with really good coffee. A good selection and a nice coffee shop to sit in. A bonus is you can get bottled water for free from reception aswell. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, with a lady sending a bottle of prosecco to our room after the Wedding, thank you this was a nice touch! I would highly recommend The Evelyn Hotel it was a perfect choice for our stay and Wedding in New York!

Great location, lovely original features, easy and delicious breakfast and coffee

Breakfast didn’t start until 7am and I had jet lag!

The Hotel

My booking included breakfast, but it did'nt tell me it was a 'grab and go' breakfast whatever that is. Its rubbish and very misleading and therefore had to go out for breakfast as it was inedible and ridiculous. Thats needs to change for sure and the manager was very rude about it. Booking.com awarded me $160.00 fro being misled.

My room had an hvac issue, it was very cold, so they put me in another room. It was much smaller, but still cozy. The team at the Evelyn were kind enough to refund charge. Did not expect that but I was very grateful for this.

Great staff that went out of their way. Free water bottles - no limit! Great-looking bar/ restaurant!Great Nomad location. On 27th street & fifth. No problem getting a quiet room, even though I had booked through another site!

king-size room was small, which was ok as I was staying there alone ( but Manhattan is notorious for that).

Great location, good value for the price. Staff was exceedingly kind!!! Rooms were really cute, breakfast was included and tasted great. I would recommend this hotel for sure. Great for couples, has a romantic vibe.

We had a great stay at The Evelyn! Our first stop for NY and everything had a great vibe; the rooms were beautiful and the Tusk Bar was the perfect way to unwind. We were stuck indoors with the recent storm foe a day but the Cafe and bar meant we didn't need to worry at all! Highly recommend, especially for the stunning decor, food and history.

Incredible location with easy access to the subway. Friendly staff and decently sized rooms for NYC. Free breakfast vouchers and water were a nice touch!

The room was very comfortable, pretty small, but very clean and very quiet. The NY jazz 1920's theme was fun and maintained throughout the hotel including the tile in the bathroom. Breakfast was good for us, overnight oats for me and egg and cheese croissant for my daughter with coffee, tea or juice. The staff was good and responsive with answers to questions and anything that we needed. Its location was perfect for taking the subway close to two lines to go uptown or downtown and to Brooklyn.
