Service at every level is outstanding. From doormen to front desk to housekeeping and those who keep the breakfast buffet humming, everyone we encountered was cheerful & helpful. Same goes for Haven restaurant-we love it there.
The rooms, even king rooms, are small. It would be nice to have a small sitting area with 2 chairs; 1 chair & a desk doesnt give a couple much space for relaxing. One window didnt lock; our 4th fl room overlooking 47th had a LOT of street noise.

The service, in the hotel and its restaurants, was the best I¿ve ever experienced in Manhattan. To a person, everyone we encountered was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.
Our room was tiny, even by New York standards, with frosted windows as it appeared to overlook a storage alley. But I requested a lower floor as back issues make stairs challenging in case of emergency, so that¿s at least partly on me.
Very helpful and attentive staff from the doormen to the desk staff. For NYC this was a large comfortable room with 2 queen beds. Very clean. Refrigerator in room but no coffee maker- coffee and tea are available in the lobby. Breakfast provided
No ice machine at all. Requested ice- delivery would have involved a tip- but it never arrived.

Great location in Times Square but not in the touristy crush area. Nicely appointed rooms though limited storage. Free breakfast! Very nice staff. Good restaurant options.
The elevator layout is a little odd with different towers but once you are there a day, you get used to it.

Rooms and bathrooms were a bit small. Room window was drafty. Street could be noisy and hard to sleep.
The Sanctuary has a very chic vibe to it. Everything about it was very classy and tasteful. The restaurant had a nice view of the skyline and the food was great. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome!
The only improvement I can even think of is that adding a self serve waffle maker to the continental breakfast would make it perfect!
The design and theming were very beautiful and intimate. It felt like a luxury boutique experience from the front door to the room. The free breakfast was an unexpected benefit and was of reasonable quality, too.
It was very expensive for a single night on a Saturday compared to their rates on other days.
The staff was wonderful! Jimmy the manager really made our stay more enjoyable. Loved the simple breakfast downstairs, the hotel was very quiet and the showers were really nice.
Room was pretty small, but probably very in line with other hotels in the area.

This is not a 4.5 star hotel. The only thing that offers the person in the bathroom privacy from the person on the bed is a curtain. If you have even the slightest bit of claustrophobia these hotel rooms will feel suffocatingly small. Checked out in hours

This is a pretty typical New York City hotel room. Old, very cramped, noisy, yet expensive. The staff was nice.
Location only
No ice/water machine, no microwave,no windows, halls too dark, no fitness center or pool. Smoke alarm beeped all night and half day before being attended after calling several times.Rooms need updating
