M Social Hotel New York Times Square

The location, the view from outside the bar, the staff top the list

The ground level elevator gets quite crowded sometimes with people going to the bar; to me that was the only downside to this hotel. A separate elevator just for hotel guests would be nice

The location is excellent and the staff was helpful.

Toilet sprayed water and after was fixed sprayed out the other side. Had to move rooms at 11pm. Neither tv worked. The dirt behind the tv was horrid. When checking out tried to tell them and was ignored.

The location is great ! But the staffs If I can give them negative star I will for sure !!!!

The fact that anyone could walk in off the streets, doors open all hours of the night.

Amazing Location! Centrally located in Times Square with a great view and walking distance to the area!

Only thing that was à pain was that lobby was in the 2nd floor via a slow elevator.

Location is fabulous, near of Broadway theaters and Lincoln Center. The climate control is very good, making the stay very comfortable.

The cleanliness could be better, and the rate price is high.

Really minor - We had a Times Square view, I know that New York City has had bad weather recently but the windows were quite dirty

Fantastic place.Most NY atraction around. We would love to enjoy terasse with view on Time square but was winter.

Price for breakfast. We would love to enjoy it but was high. So prepared breakfast at the room instead.

Central location, welcoming reception area with bar and seating. Clean and comfortable with easy access to everything.

No kettle or facilities in the room. Outdoor terrace closed due to weather.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable and had amazing noise canceling. Couldn't hear a thing from the streets.

Modern stylish, clean and location was fantastic. Views and bar were also great.

The only slight niggle was the checkin was rushed and we didn’t understand some of the details. Waited a long time to be served. Breakfast sounded expensive for a family of 4 so we didn’t eat there.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT LET THEM PUT YOU IN ROOMS 901, 902, or 903!! At nearly 500 a night they put us in room 902. Unbeknownst to us, this room is directly on top of the mechanical room. I’d paid extra for a view of time square. We got that but it came with a horrible motor sound starting and stopping every 1-2 minutes and vibrating the bed so badly that even with white noise it was impossible to sleep. I called the front desk at 12am after hours of trying to fall asleep. The first woman I spoke with told me “maam what do you want me to do about that you’re right on top of the mechanical room”. For 500 a night in a premium room! So I called again and asked to speak to a manager. They sent an engineer who told me that yeah nobody likes this room because of this. So it was a very well known issue. Luckily after that I got Nicole who went above and beyond finding a room for us. It did take about 2 hours waiting in the hotel lobby with cranky kids, but she went above and beyond. Shame on M social for selling these rooms at full price with zero disclosure. I stayed once before and had a leaking toilet for which an engineer came, couldn’t fix anything and promised to return but never did. I decided not to write a review and assumed it was an honest mistake. But now it’s clear to me that the management simply does not care about inconveniencing their guests.

Sadly the water dispenser on our floor didn’t work the entire time we were there which just meant we had to venture down to the lobby which wasn’t too much of an issue Hit with a BIG deposit when you get there just in case the room gets trashed (which I understand) but there was no pre warning and it wasn’t exactly cheap
