The Shelburne Sonesta New York

We had a wonderful stay at The Shelburne Sonesta New York. The location was ideal, the cleanliness impeccable with daily housekeeping, and the staff outstanding. Their warm service and early check-in made our visit truly memorable.

The only minor problem is the design of the bathroom, the bath room is quite spacious, however the sink is so tiny which makes no sense.

Location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were not 4 star by any means but they were roomy.

There was mold around the ring of the sink and stains on the ceiling and around the wet bar area. The rooms were dated and needed an upgrading.The hotel was HOT. We had to keep the window open 24/7 and put pillows on our heat vent and it was 30�F outside

The location was very good, not in the hustle and bustle. The room was very nice.

The heating/cooling system had issues.

Some of the staff were super pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious, although not as described.

The room was not as described. We booked a terrace king room, and received a 6 foot balcony that could not hold more than 2 people. Truly, it was false advertising. There was also a very rude valet that spoke disrespectfully to myself and partner.

Great location, and fairly quiet neighborhood apart from some car horns. Room and bathroom were a good size. Hotel was clean, staff was helpful and friendly. Felt very safe here traveling with a teen.

Valet parking was pricy.

Housekeeping so intrusive came banging 30 mins before checkout to leave the room. Extremely rude.

The decor of the main lobby and party's of the room were great, very modern and nice!

They need to upgrade the bathroom which I understand they are currently doing.

The hotel rooms are old, especially the bathrooms where you can see dirt in the shower.

I called the desk immediately when I noticed the room's shower flooding the entire bathroom causing a slip and fall hazard. the apologized, sent up mats and towels to soak in up hours later. The ensured we would be switched and never did so.

I would like a refund as it was a horrible experience. I spent so much time with the front desk and we were not able to shower worrying about falling. PLus the floor being flooded was gross and even using the toilet was hard to navigate without rainboot

The room and bathroom were clean. The bathroom looked like it had been recently remodeled.

They charged me a facility fee toward the end of visit. Plus, their is no way to monitor the temperature in the room. The thermostat doesn't work. I had to get maintenance to open my window. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The staff was very friendly and greeted us every time we walked by the desk. The room was plenty big enough for 2. The thing I liked best was the location of our room. Our room did not look out to a busy street with all the noise of traffic and sirens

Our a/c took a little time to cool down the room, but we opened a window and let the cool air of October into our room and it was wonderful.

I wish the hotel had a little snack bar. The view from our room wasn't that great and I requested a room with a view.

It was very clean inside and out and the staff was amazing. Our check in was at 4, but they let us check in at 10am! Super helpful for us!

Location was great and convenient. Bed was comfy.

On 8th floor and the street traffic was noisy and loud at 5am. I¿ve stayed in many NYC hotels and have never heard all the noise coming from the street. No restaurant on site was another downside.

It is a fine place to lay your head.

Hotel felt dated and a little run down/lacked maintenance. for example, there was duck tape holding down the carpet at the edge of an elevator.

Parking. Valet is expensive, And you can¿t take you care out without being charged. No in and out with your vehicle

Great place to stay near UN. Very clean rooms, with friendly staff.
