EvertythingThe vibe, the style, the bar, the club, the rooms
The only thing I’d like is more healthy food options
The location, the view from my room, the atmosphere, the crowded bar during the weekend, and the old fashioned diner.
Rooms could be bigger
The bed was comfortable and the room was fine. We had a nice view as we had a room on an upper floor. The lobby is nice and a good place to sit and enjoy a coffee or a drink.
The staff in the restaurant, except for one exceptionally good female chief waiter, as well as at the reception was unprofessional, not client-oriented. Unfortunately, we weren't told that there was a jazz concert in the hotel every evening, we found out by chance.
Great location - close to the subway station and on top on the shops and sights around SoHo. Easy to get uptown or downtown on foot or subway. My room was a good size and extremely comfortable with plenty of storage! Not always available in accommodation in NYC. The lounge and bar areas were both comfortable and welcoming (families and dogs welcome!). with a great buzz without being hectic. I was travelling alone and felt welcome whether enjoying a drink or just relaxing with a good book.
Being British I naively showed up without a physical credit card which was required to check in. (Apple Pay is accepted elsewhere in the hotel). Entirely my error and, thankfully, my son lives in NYC and was sent back to his apartment to bring a card back. The very kind concierge gave me vouchers for 2 complimentary cocktails which were gratefully accepted after a long haul flight! The following morning a second concierge suggested that I complete a pre-authorisation form for the required amount which was emailed to me and my sons’s card details were deleted. My only suggestion is that this option could have been made available to me at check in the night before avoiding the unwelcome delay in settling into my lovely room. That said, I will make a note to bring my card with me next time!
The Grand is one of our favorite Hotels in NYC. We booked a room to stay the night of my wife's birthday and I had flowers delivered to the hotel. A manager noticced and gvae us a fabulous upgrade to our room.
They had no decaf coffe. They are having trouble acquiring decaf coffee. If you don't like thumping parties in the lounge, don't stay there on a Saturday night.
Everything , but the tub.
It was hard for me to get in the tub .,because of the little wall you after to step up and over. It was hard me because i am a short guy. The tub was very slippery. My husband and I both all most fell time first using the tub.
I liked the fact that the hotel is in Soho.
We could not sleep. It was incredibly noisy. The rooms are very basic and small. No ambiance at the hotel in the common space. At check out, they couldn’t even tell us how much the parking was.
Very well decorated hotel, spacious rooms. We booked 2 rooms with a family of 4 and stayed 9 nights. Close to several metro lines. Nice restaurants and shopping area around the corner. Will def book this hotel again when visiting NYC! Thanks for our pleasant stay!

The location is amazing with dozens of great bars and restaurants all in walking distance. The Bar and Lounge at SoHo Grand is perfect. The Bartender and staff are wonderful.

The Bar service is terrible. Hopelessly disorganised. Front entrance staff excellent. Reception under staffed
Bar service on Lobby Level very poor.Food in Soho diner ordinary
Location and staff were lovely. Hotel is beautiful.
It would be great to be given water each day. We called and asked for some but it never arrived.
Location is close to metro/subway
a large list of things not quite right for this price point ($1000 a night! omg). mini fridge not cold, not suitable for food. shower confusing and runs cold for the first 10 minutes even though we were on a low floor. pocket door for the bathroom impossible to open with one hand or if you're short and can't grab it from above. room temperature freezing, even with the heat on high (which is loud, as it's continuously running). television not connected to cable/wifi so no service at all. very small room for the price. our room on the 4th floor located directly above a lounge space that had music until 2 a.m. Entryway when you come in downstairs is dark and nowhere to sit, check-in on a separate floor equally as dark (they're specifically using very dim lighting which is wholly unnecessary). shower had shampoo-shampoo-conditioner for the 3 bottles (no soap). really, should I go on? all-round this was a large disappointment and not worth the incredibly steep pricing. did not match the photos by more than 10%. old, cold, and dark.
Cleanliness and staff
Noise at night and the gym was poor
Location and staff
The noise on the floor with people playing loud music in the early hours of the morning. Dogs barking all night, not being able to get a table for a drink at the bar 3 nights in a row.
Location, room size and amenities. With the added bonus of the Grand Bar & Salon, with an excellent DJ!
Design, location (extremely close to a subway), and comfi room
Heater in the room is loud
