    • Comfortable, clean and well-equipped room. Excellent location and great value! Check in was clear and simple.
    • For the price this is a value. My Son lives a block away in the East Village, we stayed 4 nights to visit. The room was exactly as advertised, clean, small, secure. I would recomend
    • Perfect location for bars and restaurants

    Cons -

    • Was kinda strange that no one worked there but it was kinda cool at the same time because everything was setup for door codes and what not
    • Check in at 3 is pretty late.
    • The staff was rude, the hotel room was not clean and had bugs. I sent pictures to the hotel email and they have yet to respond to me. The room was extremely noisy. The whole experience was awful and I would never stay there again.

Location was great. There's a ton of great bars and restaurants. There's a park one block over and a nearby subway station.

Check in at 3 is pretty late.

The hotel was disgusting, I had bugs in our room. It was dirty, extremely noisy and the hotel staff that checked us in were extremely rude. I sent an email to the hotel and they did not even respond back to me which I find completely unprofessional.

Rooms were aesthetically very cool. I liked having a kitchenette, with pots and pans and such included. Bed was comfortable. Location was great.

Room smelled a little off in a wet way, but I am not sure what the smell was, exactly. I was confused about how check-out works, but that might have just been my fault. Wish there had been luggage storage available.

The location was convenient and the hotel staff was amazing!

The level of cleanliness was below my expectations. There were some dirty tissues on the floor and the shower didn't have a shelf for soap or shampoo.

    9BrettPosted on: 7-11-2017

Convenient and hip. Good location and helpful service/staff.

Bathroom shower wasn't the cleanest and didn't have any shelves or place to put soap..... also hair dryer didn't work.

Outstanding spot for visiting from East Village vantage. Close to parks, bars/eating, subway (Union Sq). Great to have microwave, refrigerator and kitchenette in room including a dishwasher. all for a great price.

Street level noise did not bother me but it might for some ( room comes with earplug :-) ). Soap dish broken in shower and 1 bug seen in room.

    Location, cleanliness.

Issues with cable TV and with the A/C that could not be fixed until after I checked out since there was only one staff member present (who was very nice but, didn't have a clue how to fix anything).

Water leak in bathroom, incredibly noisy and required earplugs, very tiny and cramped, fixtures falling off the wall, shades didn't fully block light from outside. I felt misguided by the reviews. Had to book a room with another hotel after first night.

    location

    no amenities, too loud

The location was definitely the best part. Easily walkable from the F train and in East Village/Manhattan in general.

Although nothing the property could do about it, The room we incredibly small. It was comfortable as I only stayed one night but could be an issue if you're staying multiple nights

    9Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 3-29-2017

the decor is very cute and the accessibility to the building and your room is great as everything is code related. no room key to lose.

the rooms weren't the cleanest but the beds were okay. not bad for a 1 night stay. typical NYC traffic is audible from your room.

    3AmandaPosted on: 12-3-2015

First off... There is NO ELEVATOR, so if you have anything more than a carry on, be prepared for a struggle. While cleaning the rooms for the day, the trash and linens are strewn around the hallways. Our room was filthy.

The drains were full of hair. Bathroom floor full of hair. Dirty sheets and towels. Mouthwash all over the sink and what appeared to be cocaine on the bedside table. Never again.

The East Village Hotel was in a great location, and it was easy to get all around Manhattan via public transportation. The neighborhood itself offers a wealth of restaurants, parks and things to do.

This hotel is ideal if you're looking to come and go without needing much in the way of customer service. The staff was friendly, though you don't need to rely on them for much.

    location

If you are a single female traveling, do not stay here. There is ZERO concern for safety or security.

    The location

The room size was very small. Enough for two people though.

    10AdamPosted on: 1-18-2017

    Great location.

Quite a bit of street noise compared to other places I have stayed at in New York.
