Pros +
- Decoration and the architecture. The rooms are on the small side.
- Great staff, they try very hard. Rooms are very well decorated.
- Fantastic hotel with everything done to a high level
Cons -
- The staff is not quite settled. The concierge was ignorant. Over all they seemed to be helpful but they really were not. I have stayed at hotels of this quality and i am used to service being impeccable which was not the case here.
- One of the two lifts was broken shortly after I arrived and not fixed by the time I was leaving 3 days on, causing very long wait up n down. I order room service bagel on Sunday, it was delivered 30 mins late.
- Zero noise from the streets, but the room doors let in a lot of noise and the staff were particularly noisy early in the morning.

Lovely, attentive and kind staff. Beautiful restaurant and bar.
The hotel, restaurant and bar were very pretty. The concierge and front desk lady were very sweet and helpful. was shockingly small not like the photo shown.
Th room was shockingly small not like the photo shown and the bed about killed us, as it was not comfortable. Not being able to just run into the bar or restaurant bar for a quick cocktail was ridiculous for what we paid as they could not accommodate last minute walk-ins. Neither on the way to dinner or after for a night cap.
Staying here was the biggest mistake of my life!!!!!
I paid $8,999.28 on Oct 14, 2024 to reserve a room for 10 days, from 23 Dec 2024 through 02 Jan 2025. After all was said and done, I was happy with the reservation through Booking.com. My fiancée, with her son, arrived on 23 Dec 2024. The hotel then charged my debit card for $815.50 again for each night which was broken down as 715.00 a day with an additional 100.00 per night, for a room upgrade. They downgraded us from a King room to a room with two twins. Then, on 26 Dec 2024, they raised the room rate to 805.00 with the upgrade fee per night of 100.00, for the remainder of the trip through 02 Jan 2025.

Enjoyed my whole stay.
Thought the bed needed to be updated. Didn't provide good support on side by table. Think it's been overused.Otherwise, it was fine.
The restaurant - Cafe Carmelini
Elevators too slow, the whole facility poor lighting, the shower took 12 minutes to get water to the right temperature
Top Address in terms of welcome culture, staff like Concierge Richard, Paula from :) and all the others. New hotel with dignified style. Very clean and the restaurant is high class. The suite was really well furnished and equipped with modern components.
Suite perfect, the other room 1906? is really to small. Please next time if a family took a suite then please select a better room for the other half of the family. Better for inner family peace :)

Pros: I lived 11 years in NYC and have stayed in several hotels since I moved out--the service in this hotel (front desk--special shoutout to Paola,--room service, waiters, bartenders, housekeeping) is top notch and probably its most memorable asset. I had asked for an early check-in (due to work-related purposes) prior to making my booking and they gave me my room at 8am, which is rarely the case anywhere. The location is great and the décor is stunning. The restaurants and bars are excellent. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. You can control the lighting, TV, and room temperature from an iPad.
Cons: I'm not sure if this was an issue with our room per se, or with all rooms in general, but the shower's water pressure was not great.
NA Although I had a 11:45 I decided not to eat because I thought brunch was served during the weekend Dinner reservation was excellent
Exceptional facility, great interior design which makes all rooms feel warm and welcoming. However, the most amazing part was the staff, which definitely exceeds expectations that you have even for a good 5 star hotel. Really extraordinary! Restaurant and bar are amazing, and for as long as the inhouse gym is not fully functional (there are a few machines already available), they offer complimentary subscriptions for fitness classes (soulcycle, barrys, etc.). Definitely one of the best 5 star city hotels we have stayed in.
Not really the hotels fault: We booked the smallest room category, which we should have not done considering we had quite a lot of luggage (our fault). Upon giving this feedback during check out they said we should have told them and they would have checked on other rooms / upgrades if available. Again, very good service.
Amazing personalised service, very clean, great rooms - stay was perfect, location is close to everywhere
Restaurant is good but not as great as the rest of the hotel - both service and food were just OK
Gorgeous property and a lovely room but still struggling with staff ie understaffed and lack of training. As an example and I could give more than one, a maid walked into the room whilst I had the do not disturb sign on. Food was very average
The service and luxury offered were unparalleled. My time at The Fifth Avenue Hotel was truly remarkable, I absolutely adore it! It was an extraordinary experience that swept me away to another realm—I almost forgot I was in the heart of New York City! The interior alone is enough to make this stay, however, it was the generous service and personalized attention that made this hotel truly one of a kind.
Everything was perfect at the hotel, there was nothing that I would have changed. I wish I would have had more time to explore!
Beautiful hotel and room. Very comfortable and felt like a special treat. Staff all very friendly. Definitely would stay again.
It’s not a bad place...
Bathroom had someone’s dark hair in it
Loved it here! Such a great location and spacious room. Everyone was so lovely !
