    Cons -

    • No fridge except for their way overpriced beverages which left no room for medications, leftovers, etc. Light bulbs in the room were out, batteries low in the magnifying mirror, AC that didn’t cool the room. A little shocking at this price point.
    • Room was very tiny and gives about two feet of clearance on either side of the bed (room 703). Doorman didn't open door either coming or going. Toiletries weren't replaced for two night stay.
    • The original room we had was tiny tiny tiny. Yes, it's New York, but when the one chair in the room sits under the TV, that's small! Since this was an extended visit, I asked for an upgraded room, which was good. Don't settle for a room that ends in

The hotel was perfect. Clean, large room with great amenities (Smart TV with Netflix.). The Clocktower bar was awesome.

    4GroverPosted on: 1-22-2018

A shake shack was in the park out front

The room set up, the room service was terrible and ease of getting out was ridiculous..the security was to technical and not with actual service by people. The room was not what I expected from the reservation and was overpriced even discounted

This hotel is gorgeous and has a great location right on top of Madison Square Park. The free Wi-Fi is strong and fast. The staff are all genuinely friendly. Rooms are absolutely tiny (even by New York standards), but everything fit more or less.

No coffee maker or tea kettle in the room. The room service pricing is punitive: A burger that costs $21 in the restaurant is $28, PLUS a 20% delivery fee, PLUS a $6 service fee (plus automatic 18% gratuity) if you want it sent up. Two cost us $83.

    Hospitality, clean, and great food!

    10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 9-7-2016

It was aesthetically perfect and it was also in one of the best sections of Manhattan.

The staff was lovely, the Marriott app is a great addition to the experience as it gave us easy communication with the reception and housekeeping team. Matteo on the bar had the most delicious cocktails made for us whenever we came down to the bar. The Le Labo body lotion was lovely as well.

The food in the clock tower restaurant was okay. The chicken liver pate was quite acidic.

    Location

No coffee facilities in room, very little closet space for two people for a week.

Hotel is awesome - really cool bar and restaurant. Great location as well - very walkable and across the street from the park.

It's way too pricey for what it is - better hotels charge less.

    Good location and smells nice

Room was basically haunted and no window or light even tho I paid for a high up room

    Location and service amazing

A coffee machine should be automatically supplied in the room. Restaurant too darkLobby should have carpets and pictures to be cozier.

    Location only. Nothing else.

Staff rude and disrespectful. Hotel furniture is FULLY depreciated. Rooms are tiny and furniture is overused. Took me more than three hours to get my keys especially after a 14hr flight. On top of that they chased me to checkout at 11am sharp (i checked out at 11:20am). Elevators are also horrible and takes forever to get on one.

    4ZaidPosted on: 9-13-2024

    Disappointing

Elevators are terrible. Service is terrible. No lounge access as it is always booked abd packed. No one to help you in or out with your bags. Self service all the way. It also took 2 HOURS to check in even though i arrived at 4pm. Hotel is old and furniture is way over-used. Never again.

    old and smelly

old with smelly hallways, old bathrooms with no amenities, no coffee machine in the room
