JGSTAY - Times Square

There was no hot water; it was a fifth floor walk-up; the sheets smelled musty; the carpeting was ripped up.

The location is near the theatre district and times square.

The hotel had no hot water, and no elevator. The hotel has been without hot water for weeks now. They promised a refund of 30% for the inconvenience, I'm not expecting I'll actually see it. Luckily it was only a one night stay. I'd not go back.

Location

The sheets were dirty, I had to ask for pillowcases when I arrived, there was no way to regulate the temperature (and it was so hot in the room). To try to get some cool air I opened the window which opened to a shaft in which pigeons lived.

Prime location! Room was small but clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Lack of elevator, but the stairs weren?t too steep.

Could not get the heater to work. Walls were thin and could hear neighbors snoring.

Location was great and the staff was pleasant.

No elevator which made it hard going up to the fourth floor. Room is a decent size small room, bathroom is really small, almost hard to turn around in, but it is NYC.

Lack of an elevator -- The staff did bring our bags (2 very small overnight bags) to our room -- we were on the 5th floor.

The location is great if you are seeing a lot of shows in and around Times Square. Tons of restaurants are along 8th and 9th too.

The location on 8th and only being on the 2nd floor meant a lot of noise came into the room. We slept fine, but only because we bought ear plugs to use. As noted in the hotel's description, there is no elevator so you'll be on a lower floor.

Great location! Clean, modern, minimalistic rooms. There is no elevator, and you have to take the stairs, which forces me to get some exercise.

I was here in February. It was cold outside, but the room was EXTREMELY HOT! There is NO WAY of adjusting the temperature in the individual rooms. I had to keep a window open, but even then, it was too hot to sleep at night. There is no ELEVATOR!

The location is undefeated. Spent a ton of time out and about, and it was great to be so close to everything on my checklist! Perfect location, very clean, and friendly staff. Will absolutely be back!

The room is small but is perfect for solo travelers!

Not a thing.

4 story walk up, no elevator. Staff was clueless. Room was mediocre at best. Rugs in hotel were dirty. Bed frame was broken. I can go on and on.

Location, nice staff, sleepers provided

Be aware about couple of things: 1. Stairs. Hotel has 5 floors and doesn't have an elevator 2. Room size - rooms are small. Very small. You will have your bed and tiny space for standing

Stayed 4 nights.On the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, the TV wasn't working. When I asked the female receptionists downstairs, they merely agreed "yes,tvs are down"n didn't apologize or explain or say that it's being looked into,they were on cellphones all times. Sad!

Nothing room to small not worth my money

My grandson was with me and the television in the room I requested a room change and they wouldn't change my room.

It was less than $--- night and right off Broadway!

The "two single beds" are bunk beds. They are very squeaky and would be hard for anyone with mobility issues to get into the top bunk. The mattresses are crib mattress style, and you get one sheet/blanket thing and one bed pillow and one throw pillow.

There is nothing good to say about this hotel. Location is perfect . that is the only good

Waited 30 minutes to check in. There system wasnt working to take the deposit payment. And there is no ptoof or reciept for the deposit patment. They said they will send me email confirmation about the refund. but i fidnt recieve any. not answering the ph

If you can handle stairs,this hotelis ffor you. Super clean, well appointed, tiny room with a wet bath (shower doesn't splash on the commode, but the floor throughout gets soaked). Staff was super friendly and helpful. You CAN hear neighbors. Loved it!

No complaints. Great price for the location.
