    • Location

    Cons -

    • The hotel is older and some things seem to be out of order. Most of the outlets did not work in my room, some of the lights didn't turn on. The trashcan was broken.
    • I smell something. I pulled the sheet up and there are huge blood stain. The staff changed me to another bed but it was a horrified experience.
    • Toilet had trouble flushing. Shared bunk system. Elevator a little rickety.

We didn't get to stay here.

Booked a 4 bed room for 4 people and confirmed with the hotel. We were given a room with only 2 beds. Front desk offered us a 4 bed room at a different hotel, which turned out to be low quality. We talked with a manager, who was rude to us and an employee

I am not satisfied reg the room and the car wasn't cleaning inside I return the car 1 day earlier I need my refund.

The guy who come to clean the room sit on my bed and didn't changed the sheet I wasn't happy about that.

Super friendly staff, big rooms, very clean and in a perfect location. Check out the tenement museum across the street. Amazing stay! We''lol be back for sure.

    10VerifiedPosted on: 11-17-2015

Everything! It was designed sympatheically using original timber and features from the tenement house it originally was.

Unfortunately, my bedroom faced the rear of the building which overlooked the local bar/club with loud booming music til 4 a.m.

Great Location and a good size room and bathroom for two. The deepest non spa bath I have ever seen at a Hotel. Very friendly staff and except for one staff member extremely helpful, which probably made the one staff member stand out as not as helpful.

Beautiful character Hotel, however let down by presentation of Breakfast room.Problem from checkin with door lock on room, would not be able to open door if you had arthritic hands. No access for half an hour while staff worked on lock 1 night late.

Location - near great restaurants and a subway station that took you to all the city highlights and wasn't confusing. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Very clean room and towels. Cute hotel with lots of personality.

The breakfast was ok - maybe offer a few healthy choices.

We wanted to be on the LES, close to our daughter, and so this was perfect. The front desk staff was great, very accommodating, allowing us to store our luggage as our room was not ready. Perfect for 1 or 2 nights!!!!

The med was not great; kind of old and creaky, but OK.

    8VerifiedPosted on: 3-21-2015

Friendly staff. Fun location. Room felt like an apartment, very cozy.

    Expensive

    10VerifiedPosted on: 1-30-2015

When I brought down dirty mugs, the manager was very obliging and gave me a nice, new, fancy tray with new cups, mugs, and coffee creamers. I liked that a gym pass was offered, but it would have been nice if they gave a gym pass for each guest per room.

Leaving the room key with the front desk every time I left the hotel.

    9VerifiedPosted on: 11-8-2014

Awesome view. Large luxury room. Staff was great! Old school New York hotel.

    9SergioPosted on: 8-20-2014

The hotel was centrally located to subway stations which was convenient.

It was odd having to leave the room key with the front door staff everytime we left but the keys are actual keys, so that's understandable.

Staff was very accommodating. The location actually turned out to be fine. We'd never stayed in that part of town and had fun exploring it. For a good downtown experience it was cool. Lots of fun stuff to do in the evenings in Greenwich Village.

The door lock was a little tricky, but other than that we had no problems.

    Beautiful hotel! Highly recommended.

We had a major issue with Imperial Parking which is the parking garage. It was not the hotel's fault, but the car lift at the garage broke.

I had high hopes based on Internet reviews. I found the decor to be old and somewhat tacky. The maid service was not thorough. For the price its more like a hostel or a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Mostly its overpriced. For a hundred less a night it would've been fine but for nearly $300 a night, it just wasn't worth it.

Charming and unique, great location and gregarious staff.

    Opening the door was tricky.
