    Pros +

    • Clean quiet and out of the way with amazing views
    • The European vibe, location, and staff
    • I like the location best, the decor is interesting to me and the color palette is pleasing.

    Cons -

    • There were 2 times that people were found to be trying to access the rooms even though they did not have key cards to access the elevator, but they were trying to sneak
    • It's always hit or miss with the staff. I have my favorites. It can be frustrating but sometimes you have to shrug it off. Some people think they can influence your mood, feelings or stay overall by making you unhappy rather than delighted. TEMP only.
    • Slow creepy dark elevators Small cramped room No night tables No coffee machine or cups No bathroom privacy Scary/dangerous high shower/tub sides Requested river view, didn¿t get Heating cooling system not working properly Windows don¿t open

Good location, close to the Highline and attractions.

Room was advertised as a river view room but the view was primarily of a construction site below us. Also, the hotel club plays music very loudly on Friday nights, we could hear everything on the 4th floor until 3 AM.

The room did not have a functioning AC leaving me to be hot. Maintenance came to the room but was unable to correct the issue.

Just the fact that I could not be helped with the AC situation. Otherwise it was great.

I can`t understand that it`s their business, to take money far a service that I haven`t used?

The hotel is in a perfect location, just a couple of stops from the hussle and bustle, perfect location to walk the Highline and also we walk around Grenwich village etc.

Removing the free copy from reception to early!

The location is great, my favorite area in New York near Chelsea Market. The style of the rooms is really great with a good view. We ordered room service and really enjoyed it. I think it's a very chic hotel with a great atmosphere; I would definitely return. Lastly, the video they have in the elevator is incredible.

In the check out, they add charges for things like donations and extra services that aren't mentioned in the initial price. We also had some issues with noisy pipes in one room, but they moved us immediately, so we have no complaints.

Nothing I didn’t get what was advertised and they overcharged me so much ? I have photos and evidence the room wasn’t the one I purchased and it was all moldy and chipped I’m very upset

Everything I said in the first section. I didn’t get what I paid for and they over charged me 300 after

Excellent location; great view of the Hudson with the floor to ceiling window; brilliant shower and great sized room for NY; wonderful to have The Standard's restaurant and bar facilities and great vibe throughout.

The sound insulation could have been better. We heard the music from the bar upstairs - it wasn't too bad but if you're sensitive to noise, think about swapping the view for a room further away from the bar. I did request a room that was quiet but still we heard it (although it didn't stop us from sleeping that night). I also don't like that there's an extra resort fee charge - you get nothing but a small bottle of water per person for the $35 per night. If they had a pool and sauna, I'd be ok with it but really, it's an outdated practice that isn't appropriate for this hotel and was the only downside to the otherwise brilliant experience of the facilities and customer service.

Perfect Location, excellent bedding. Friendly and helpful people.

Slow Breakfast service, loosing time in waiting cue even if tables are free. We INCLUDED breakfast in our arrangement but you need always sign a breakfast bill, that has been discounted but you always wait for everything.

    Overpaid $$355.31 + $458.59 in...

There were two separate folios issued for my stay. After reviewing both statements, I believe that payments were collected in excess of the actual charges on each folio. On the first folio(Confirmation number:5294499522), a credit from my booking credit card was already applied($355.31), however I was still asked to pay the full amount by credit card at the front desk  $974.80, resulting in an overpayment. On the second folio(Confirmation number:6625586336), a credit from my booking credit card was already applied($458.59), however I was still asked to pay the full amount by credit card at the front desk  $461.25, resulting in an overpayment.

    Good location

The extremely loud music and noise all night made it impossible for me to sleep. The fan in the toilet isn’t working, so there’s no ventilation, which causes a bad odor. The hotel also charged US$117.64 more than the original booking price.

    The location was EXCELLANT

The shower was terrible- no power at all- the bed didn’t have access on both sides and the room wasn’t how it appeared in the photos when i booked The room was either too hot or too cold, incredibly hard to balance the temperature No tea or coffee making facilities

The location is great and the staff is amazing. They’re very helpful and accommodating.

I wish the fitness center was a bit larger and there’s no pool.
