Ace Hotel New York

They have such a fun vibe at their bar and a cool Photo Booth. Their staff members are so kind and helpful. And they look happy to be there. The location and price is amazing as well.

The location is really ideal. We were in town half for work and half for fun, and it was a convenient area for both. Loved being near flatiron.

There were so many issues throughout our stay. The computer system was down the entire time we were there, which led to a lot of logistical issues for us and other guests. The staff at the front desk was sometimes pleasant and sometimes very rude, it was extremely hit or miss. I know they were stressed because of the tech issues, but that isn't a good reason to be rude to guests during check-in. One of the elevators was also broken for the entirety of our stay (which we had to extend, so we were there for 5 nights), and as a result there were always long lines/waits for the elevators. They also gave at least one person the wrong room key and we watched a woman walk into what she thought was her hotel room only to find other people already... it was all a mess.

The location is amazing. It’s close to everything—you can walk to Chelsea Market or Times Square and not even notice, because everything is a 10–15 minute walk. The vibe is pretty cool and the staff its amazing, friendly and helpful on the hotel.

Well, everything goes wrong smoothly:1.I was surprised by a $200 deposit charge on my card (not specified in booking) because of a fully stocked and unnecessary grocery/minibar in the room. Honestly, that minibar just takes up space in an already tiny room. Water (which in my opinion should be included—at least a bottle or a can) and a few snacks would be enough.2.The room wasn’t very clean. There were stains on the sheets, and the fitted sheet was very itchy. The carpet was full of little pebbles.3.The AC is behind the bed, which is a complete mess and super uncomfortable. You feel the hot or cold air directly on your head all the time. If you’re a light sleeper, the machine constantly turning on and off is very noisy and unpleasant.4.The Chromecast didn’t work in my room, and I was never able to stream from my phone to the TV.5.The noise is real. You can even hear conversations from other rooms, the vacuum in the hallway, and all the city noise—overall, a very noisy experience.Definitely my less favorite hotel in NY.

It was very noisy. You could easily hear guests in their rooms and street noise. I got very little sleep over the 3 nights of my stay. On the second morning I was woken by hearing an employee in the hallway speaking on a walkie talkie very loudly.

Comfortable beds and nice linen, nice fluffy towels. room size was great. our room faced the internal courtyard so it was extra dark but it was quiet.

The hotel is quite dated and in need of a refresh. The chairs in our room where stained and ragged, everything looked worn out and in need of a refresh. front desk team are great. rooms are very dark & no where to store clothes except a small rack to hang a few items.

Great hotel, chill vibes. I’ve stayed at the LA hotel and NYC both are great places to stay.

The soap or the cleaning products used have something I am allergic to most likely oils or something that make my skin break out. Every time Ives stayed I’ve broke out in a rash. Easily taken care of but I think this will be the last time I book at ace.

Very cool vibe & great coffee shop a part of the hotel. Very cute.

There were bugs of some kind roaming around our table when you enter the room, smaller than cockroaches but not sure what they were. That was gross!

The shower in the double room was ridiculous. There is no way to avoid water getting everywhere. There was also a really bad draft in our bathroom that made it super cold.
