Hampton Inn Manhattan-Chelsea

Location was great. Room was huge for a manhattan hotel. Breakfast was good and staff was lovely.

Staff were very friendly

Pictures of rooms are from 10 yrs ago so very misleading. Major upgrade needed. Lamps hot glued together, hoses/cords in bathroom rotted, furniture/shower curtain/bedding/window dressing stained brown.

Staying on the 20th floor. I don?t like heights.

The breakfast was lacking about 9:45? things were empty on hot food service. One morning a man complained at 9:45 and the hot food was refilled, which was nice. Much appreciated.

Cleanliness and location

It seemed the only ones who understood English were the front desk staff. I would suggest more English speaking staff members.

There are only two elevators in the hotel and one of them was not working for 3.5 of the 4 days we stayed. There were frequent long waits for an elevator

My room was spotlessly clean and had nice amenities. The location in Chelsea was perfect, near a subway stop. Shopping and dining options abound in a non-touristy, non-pretentious relaxed neighborhood.

maintenance - the tv did not work when we arrived, a cable was disconnected. The toilet had regular issues with not flushing properly, at times it had no water in the tank and at other times it kept flushing itself over and over.

Friendly staff, ease of check-in, and the call from front desk to ensure room was okay was very nice.

Location is great, close to major sights but along a quiet side street so not much noise comes in from outside. Room was spacious, got a free upgrade to a king and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the 12PM check out and shower pressure.

Hallways outside of rooms are tiny so noise in the morning is unavoidable making it hard to sleep in. Towels are small and pillows are flimsy.

Bathroom wasn¿t that clean , stains on the shelves above the toilet. Bathtub not properly cleaned the corners of the tub had stuff stuck to it., Hair found in the tub and on the floor of the bathroom.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The location of the hotel in Manhattan was excellent.

Air conditioning and location was great. Staff was friendly as well.

Hotel was clean, but the toilet had trouble flushing and the drain in the shower didnt really drain. I was in a few inches of water by the time my shower was over.

Location was excellent but the room was ok. Liked that it has a mini fridge. Definitely just used the room just as a place to sleep. Staff was nice and polite.

Definitely an old hotel and the room was a pretty standard size for NYC, which is small.

Asked for a 1PM late checkout and they wanted $50 for an hour, ridiculous

Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Very well priced for location.
