Location; rooftop lounge/dining options

The rooms are too small. Expected for NYC I guess... but a friend of mine also visited the same weekend and even with the "upgrade" her room was just as small as mine, Also there was no full length mirror in my room nor were there any suitcase racks.

Hidden $45.90 Guest Experience Fee plus taxes per night plus no closet in the room. Clothes needed to be hung on hooks. Also, I need access to a chair in the room because I have sleep apnea. None available.

It?s outrageous that a room this tiny could be part of a highly-rated hotel. The star ratings completely ignore the most basic comfort: space. Charging such a high price for this level of cramped accommodation feels like pure greed

Convenient location and cool decor. Easy check in/check out. I was able to check in a little early which was nice

The twin room is well designed for space but if you are tall, dont even attempt to stay in these rooms - so uncomfortable and I didnt sleep a wink

I never do these reviews but had to for The Civilian Hotel. We booked it last minute to see a Broadway show. It’s very cold in NYC this weekend so wanted something close but don’t like the crowds in Time square properties. This place was absolutely PERFECT!!! Close proximity, lovely accommodations and the entire place just had this neighborhood feel to it. Look forward to visiting again soon.

There was no shower door so the water leaking out!!You have to cover the floor with towels !! Breakfast is just very basic! Some bread and jams with fruit! Rather to eat out ! Otherwise very nice, stylish decorated!! Clean and very comfy

Beautifully decorated room, although a little small and no hanging space. Excellent bathroom with a hot shower. Also a very comfortable bed. I liked the idea of letting the housekeeping staff know if you wanted your room made up with a dial on the door rather than them doing it everyday. The hotel was ideally located with a great rooftop bar and cocktail lounge. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was good but the room was freezing the morning we went so didn’t go again.

No hanging space in the room and no reply from the hotel when I emailed via booking.com to check this out as we would have changed rooms had we known as we were there for nearly a week. As there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room it would be a great idea to have that facility available in the cocktail lounge day from 7am - 5pm

Excellent location and great view. Lighting in room was fun and decor was unique. Despite a small room, space was used wisely. Cool broadway memrobilia in the bar.

Walls are thin and the bathroom door was a bit too transparent. The hotel has its own app which I thought was unnecesary and then it didn't even work for check in.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, with an elegant simple and classic design. The staff were outstanding, professional, and incredibly welcoming, making the stay truly memorable.

As a boutique hotel, the room was a bit small for two beds and missed a few basic amenities like a refrigerator, a coffee bar, and an iron, but overall the hotel was excellent.

One thing that happened will make this hotel have 5 stars everywhere.I forgot my Wallet into The security box inside The room, and I discovered it when I was already jn another country.Staff founded it and the item was given to me without touching anything inside. Thank you so much, again.
