The Nolita Express Hostel

The noise level was very bad. The hostel claims they have no control over this but threaten $100 fine for any guest not being quiet. I couldn’t sleep the entire night. Pushing for a minimum 20% tip is a no no. I would not book a future stay with them.

The bedsheet and the pillow sheet were not washed. I saw stains on the sheet. It's cold and when I asked for extra blanket, they asked for 5 dollars. It's middle of the night and it just felt that they don't care.

Location is great. Lounge and bathrooms look exactly like the pics. Bathrooms are remarkably clean. Price is really low because of the rooms. The rooms are very clean but tiny with ZERO amenities. The only convneince is WiFi. But its good Wifi.

It actually surpassed my expectations. The common areas actually look every bit as nice as the pics on their website. But the rooms are as tiny and bare as they look on the website.

The hotel cancelled the reservation and cited being rude to staff in the past which never happened at their hotel. It did so at 230am so another room could not be secured. This was when there was a possible breakthrough on another issue, which took life

This hotel has yet to enter a legal world as it would not have taken one dollar if there was an incident of rudeness. It cited last June. It would have addressed it at that time but waited to take when it could hit hard.

The location of this hotel is great. It is close to the subway/bus and in a great location for getting to midtown or lower Manhattan. The rooms are small, but they are very affordable.

The hotel is not the cleanest, especially the bathrooms. I would normally wake up early and go to the gym to avoid using the bathrooms. The hotel has no elevator, so it is not handicap accessible.

It was very convenient and the staff were great - the common areas were much nicer than other hostels in the area. Great lounge.

They say they enforce noise infractions but they don?t. Every.single.morning someone would leave an alarm going for 10-15 minutes. Also the stairs are very long and steep, which is not a problem with just walking up and down but a challenge with luggage

Easy, fast, convenient location. Great for a quick night in the city.

It's very small, so be prepared for that.

It was cheap. All rooms are private. Cute 1920s decor.

Extremely noisy, with quiet hours unenforced and open ceilings so that you hear everyone's loud conversations early each morning. You have to enforce the rules yourself. Only one dirty bathrooms with toilet paper out both days, no extra rolls provided.
