    Pros +

    • The location
    • Location is exceptional, friendly and helpful staff, nice room. The location is 3-4 blocks distance from at least 4 different subway stations that cover all train lines so you can literally go anywhere.
    • I liked that the studio has hardwood flooring. There’s a nice roof lounge space where there was breakfast pastries with tea and coffee. Kitchen had both a fridge and freezer (ice box) as well as electric hob (stove top), oven, microwave, dishwasher and basic kitchen equipment. Having a washer and dryer in the room is very convenient for longer stays. Hotel location is great - very near Bryant Park as well as Times Square. There’s less traffic/noise on the streets than the avenues.

    Cons -

    • Nope love everything about it
    • The daily "resort fee" is a joke considering the price for the room in the first place.
    • It would be useful to have instructions on using some of the appliances although I’m sure you could call the front desk for assistance if required. The bathroom could do with more shelving space for items too big to fit in the cabinet and a clothes drying rack. The windows don’t block out all noises (occasional sirens, rubbish/trash truck, loud motorbikes etc) but city noises don’t bother me so it’s just something for light sleepers to consider.

Really comfortable apartment with everything you need on a ten-day vacation. Location is more than perfect, because you're on Times Square, still far away not to be bothered by all the lights and noise at night. Would definitely stay here again.

    10AndresPosted on: 4-29-2025

The location was perfect, right next to Times Square and the main attractions. The room was big enough, the kitchen was well equipped.A complimentary breakfast was included: coffee, pastries, and fruits.

    8InbarPosted on: 2-23-2025

The location is great, bed is big and comfortable and the shower is amazing. The morning coffee, tea and pastries is a very nice touch.

The room is very small, no small fridge, no hangers in the bathroom. The safe is strange and eas very small. Can hardly put anything inside.

Everything loved the sub zero fridge snd the kitchen and washing machine the staff were thr best I have ever seen

I think the front desk area. The face of the apartment/hotel and the elevator section should be a different colour to black

wonderful staff, very well sized rooms especially for New York, generally very comfortable. it’s right by Times Square but I didn’t hear the loud noises at night (on top floor). the morning coffee in the common space was very good and a nice touch.

this is probably more on me but I was expecting more of a kitchenette than I had. there was a sink and a fridge but no cutlery, dishes, microwave, kettle. I stayed in one of the penthouses which apparently doesn’t come with a kitchenette and I think the hotel should make that clearer. also the penthouse, while very nice and spacious, was very dark.

No more than a 30 second walk from being straight into Times Square, it was a fantastic location! The room was lovely and spacious and we had a huge bed. All staff were friendly and the more relaxed nature of it made it feel a lot more like home, rather than a hotel which we really enjoyed.

We loved the coffee and pastries in the lounge, but they kept running out of both at various times throughout the morning.

Staff were amazingly friendly. Made the stay comfortable. The location was excellent. So close to Times Square but you could walk and catch subway to almost everywhere. Room size was huge for NY

Gym could have been bigger and soundproof windows

    9IrmaPosted on: 10-18-2024

The room is huge! It's extremely rare for NY. The location is perfect for tourists - it's super close to Times Square, NYPL, Bryant Park, and multiple metro stations in walking proximity. Being in the heart of downtown it's silent in the rooms. Complimentary breakfast is small but pleasant - pastries, coffee, and apples.

No fridge in the room, no kettle.

    10DavidPosted on: 10-13-2024

Rooms were well done and spacious, location was brilliant, staff were super friendly and helpful. Loads of TV channels on all 3 TVs which is very rare. Full kitchen and Washing machine & Dryer. Times square and Subway half a block away.

Single bathroom might annoy some fussy people but it really wasn't a problem.

Location in d heart of time square !! Room are spacious, modern and clean … the stafff are very professional and welcoming all of them no exceptions ( Jerrell, Elliot , Tina, Kevin, Devyn, Miguel, Julio, Cesar and Mohamed)

Nothing I feel like I’m home and between my family

    8KathyPosted on: 8-20-2024

Excellent location. We were able to walk to many attractions. Well appointed spotlessly clean apartment, equipped with all the amenities of home. All the staff were exceptional - always a warm, friendly welcome and showing genuine interest in our daily activities. Big shout out to Kevin, who was a joy! - so nice to have uplifting and happy interaction, which made our stay extra special ?

There wasn’t too much, but why we dropped a couple of points on rating….thought the lifts were very dark and gloomy…. could be an age thing, as we’re in our mid sixties - but was a bit uncomfortable when we used them. The air conditioning in our bedroom was extremely noisy, which disturbed sleep. No hairdryer in room.

    8HuzaifaPosted on: 8-4-2024

Location and room are excellent. Breakfast needs to improve with more option and very limited serving and no staff dedicated for refilling.

    9Jian-youPosted on: 6-13-2024

Nearby Time Square, also close to metro station; convenient location

    No freezer in the room

    10AngelikaPosted on: 5-29-2024

I came back to the AKA hotel after 10 years and felt at home again right away! The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Our apartment had a kitchen with coffee machine, Toaster etc. we had breakfast every morning in the room.

The fridge in the room is loud, but if you switch off the ice maker, then it is a bit better ;-)

    10OraphanPosted on: 5-1-2024

It’s in Time Square but it’s so quiet! Less than 5 mins walk to Bryant Park and Whole Food .. couldn’t ask for more!!!

    5ReutPosted on: 5-1-2024

    Location

Not for families! The furnitures are outdated, the rooms need renovation, there are no comfortable closeets. The shower is tiny and without shelves. And cleaning only once a week!! At this price you can get much more!!

    4PhilPosted on: 4-3-2024

    Breakfast provided was poor.

Customer service was very poor. Would not give me a late check out and only refunded half of a day, when I left early due to illness. No compassion, no empathy. Poor human services. Only about the money
