Sugarloaf Mountain Motel

Hotel employee was very accommodating and friendly. Room was decorated for the area/time but had updated bathroom features. Plenty of outlets for charging devices. Bed was comfortable.

Room 8 was amazing. So nice to have the market right there with convenient hours. Morning coffee very good and plentiful. Very friendly staff.

This Hotel was remodeled, very clean, and it was super quiet. Staff was very welcoming and gave us a little history of Virginia City. I would recommend this place to others.

Early 10:00 check-out time. 11:00 seems to give people more time.

Good location to the main drag, park your bike upon arrival and don't have to start it until you are ready to leave.

Everything costs more on the mountain so buy your beer and stuff down low and bring it with you.

Great remodel with old west feel. Store at location with free coffee and danishes daily. Within walking distance of town!

Bed was kinda hard.

The room was clean and the proprietors were cheerful and accomodating. All of our needs were taken care of and the room was cozy, warm and inviting. We were able to walk to the historic mining town and did not have to worry about driving.

Nothing at all, it was a pleasant experience. It is a historical site and every room is different.

We love staying in older properties, family/locally run in small towns or historic areas. Sugarloaf fit the bill! Clean, pleasant, welcoming on a cold windy March night. Owner was kind, helpful with recommendations and I-80 weather/chain station advice.

The location to the town was the attraction. The best part was meeting the owners. They were great.. Hotel employee gave me a tour of her Cacti Garden.. They also recommended the Café del Rio for dinner and it was excellent. Would stay here again..

No air conditioning, however the owners did offer to exchange rooms, but we wanted to experience the Historical flavor...

The showers water pressure was not good at all and I underestimated how small the room was.

Cozy room, perfect for staying overnight while visiting friends in Dayton, six miles away. The bathroom & shower look recently renovated. The shops and saloons of downtown Virginia City are walking distance from the hotel. Easy check and key drop box by the office enabled a quick departure. Will definitely stay again.

Was clean, quiet, within walking distance to shops, staff was very friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to deliver a special package to us from a friend! We'll stay here again!
