La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gallup

Pros +

• I've stayed at this La Quinta several times and had the same good quality of service and stay every time. Very comfy beds!
• Cleanliness,staff,window view
• Breakfast was ok but sausage was kinda dry side and the juice machine was not in service

Cons -

• On this website the hotel’s page explicitly says, “We also do not charge for pets.” The hotel says this in response to the first question listed under the “Travelers are asking” section about their pet policy. It was this response that specifically led me to choose La Quinta over the other two options I was considering. Nevertheless, when I arrived in person, the receptionist notified me of a $25 pet fee. Given how late it was after 12 hours driving on the road, I paid the fee without much objection. But when I showed her the hotel’s response on the Booking.com page, all she said was, “Oh that shouldn’t be there.” When I said I would be formally requesting a refund on the pet policy, she rudely dismissed me with “All right, I’m good” (which didn’t even make sense as a response). The false advertising and rude customer service were enough to spoil my review of this hotel.
