Red Lion Motel Southampton

I thought it was gonna be this super rundown hotel but it was super cute for the price. The staff member was super nice even tho I got in later than I said I was gonna. Staff called me to confirm my reservation.

Not that I didn¿t like it, the room was a bit small, but it was perfect. One of the better beds I¿ve slept in, in a hotel in a long time.

Room looked newly painted and the bathroom recently renovated.Pleasantly surprised to find a smoking room, especially one that didn't smell like one.

Lack of bedside lamp (I'm a reader). No counter space in the tiny bathroom. Funky smell from the water.

It was close to my mom and it cost less than the hotels in Mt. Laurel.

Everything else. This was a very basic mom-and-pop motel. There is no breakfast buffet, not even a coffee pot in the room. There is cable TV, but no clock. The sign says wifi, but it was not apparent. And Mom & Pop are unfriendly to the point of rudeness.

The location of the hotel was conviently located near the highway and the wifi connection is amazing for working on the road. Hotel employee is always amazing, he is so sweet and keeps the rooms very clean. We will see you soon.

This hotel would be great and stand out over the nearby hotels if a plumber could fix the water on the property,it smells like rotten eggs. Air out the smoking rooms, possibly wash or steam clean curtains occasionally wipe down walls and clean ac filters

The staff is always polite. I never have an issue, they have called me a few times just to see if everything was okay with my room , not many places do that anymore.

It was quiet, staff was polite.

Shower handle/ faucet had some issues. The bed was really hard. Took a while to warm up the room.

It was reasonably cheap. It was a huge room but it was big enough I ugh to move around. The man that checked me on and out was very politrand courteous.

Only things I didn't like was the stiffness 9f the mattress and the flimsy shower curtain .

Initially I liked the price, until we arrived.

The room was absolutely disgusting. Peeling wall paper, moldy grout, stained tub, walls covered in bad spackle, spray paint on wall. The mattress even had blood on it, which can be a sign of bedbugs. The room smelled sickly sweet and like stale smoke. We checked in for 2 nights. The person on staff grilled us multiple times about not having visitors or animals, which we weren't planning. Made us pay in advance and told us no refunds. After seeing the room and sitting down for a couple of minutes we decided it was too gross to stay. He wouldn't give us a refund but we left anyway. This Motel should not be in business.

Room smelled like an ashtray. Heater sounded like a wind storm. No hot water at the sink. Porch light shown in all around gaps in the door.

Close to my locaton. Bed was comfortable

Water had a sulfur smell. Toilet tank never filled. Room smelled heavily of stale cigarette smoke. No hangers. Wifi signal was poor.

Lights and heat worked. Had running water.

It's pretty ghetto here. Outdated decor. Bathroom door did not close. Dingy.

Minimalist. Room smelled of cigarette smoke, burn holes in bedspread, rip in blanket, outlet next to bed did not work, no nightstands, no phone, no shampoo, very loud air vent in bathroom, only 2 sets of thin towels

The price was good enough for a Saturday night. There were a number of excellent places to eat nearby - Red Lion Restaurant, Red Lion Diner (neither affiliated with the motel). The third room that we looked at, the only non- smoking room seemed to have been recently re-done. New tiled shower, vanity, paint, TV, etc.

The first two rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. The first room the A/C did not work and there were cigarette burns in the bedspread. In general the entire place seemed outdated and rundown. No lamps by the beds. Only one overhead fixture which created a glare on the TV.

Fantastic location except it I didn’t even realize there was an upstairs

When I made the reservation I asked for a no smoking room and got an email back that they only have no smoking rooms, but when I go to the facility they said they only have smoking rooms and to try a particular room “it’s not too bad”. It’s smoke smell wasn’t too bad but it was still obviously a smoking room with an ashtray.
