Being located in a ski resort, this condo felt safe and was close to nature. The setting was beautiful.
The unit was larger than we expected and the appliances were up to date and really exceeded our expectations. The area was very quiet and we were very comfortable.
Convenient location. Winterplace Condo unit M-202. Would not recommend this particular unit but would definitely stay at Winterplace again if we could get a better unit.

Top Tips
- Reserve 3 to 6 weeks ahead for weekend stays from late September to mid-October, when small Claremont hotels regularly reach full capacity during peak foliage. Early booking helps secure a preferred room and avoid same-day rate increases.
- Choose accommodations within 0.8 miles (10 to 20 minutes on foot) of the Claremont Opera House to easily access most downtown restaurants and shops. Walking lets you discover historic downtown sites at your own pace; travelers with limited mobility should verify step-free routes or request an accessible path at check-in.
- Confirm elevator or ground-floor access when booking, as many small New Hampshire inns and older motels do not have elevators. Guests needing accessible rooms or step-free entry should call the property in advance to confirm availability.
- Free onsite parking is standard at major hotel chains in Claremont, but boutique or riverfront hotels may have a daily fee of $15 or limited spaces. Verify parking charges and space availability before arrival, especially for oversized vehicles or if you need EV charging.
- Anticipate winter driving and snow-covered conditions from late November to March; most hotels clear onsite lots but snow removal times may vary. If arriving late, confirm after-hours access and parking procedures during periods of heavy snowfall to avoid delays.
- Call hotels directly to ask about last-minute cancellations, unpublished rates, or early check-in upgrades. Especially during busy periods, direct contact can reveal options not listed online, though rates and upgrades are subject to availability.
