Magnolia Hotel Omaha

Everything! Perfect stop for a one-night stay on our road trip. Room was great, restaurant was lovely, and the ambience and style of the hotel were delightful.

Very clean and white sheets just the way I like it. Very nice hotel.

The room was a tad bit smaller than what we had in the past stay at Magnolia. Parking is a bit of a challenge when you are staying on a wkend specially when there’s an occasion happening in the hotel like wedding.

Great location. Valet in PM was friendly.

Frist check in lady was not friendly but warmed up. Had to change rooms due to loud thumping mechanical noise. Second front desk person was very accommodating. Water in bathroom smelled and space very tight. Internet was intermittent. Deposit made months ago for reservation but not applied to this cc payment. Said it would be a credit to card used for reservation. Hopefully that is true.

The $100 incidental hold seemed excessive compared to other hotels especially for one night.

Lovely, historic building with a great location within the city (easy walk to the Old Market area). Our room was huge, had excellent air conditioning and was very clean and comfortable for sleeping. Nice bar in the lobby, albeit quite expensive.

It was expensive to stay and parking was an additional $29, with a parking lot adjacent to the hotel. Although the location of the parking was very convenient, you had to use a room key card to enter/exit the automated parking system - meaning you had to check-in first (not convenient) and if you checked out and turned in your room key card, you had to find assistance to exit (why not just have gate open for exiting like at most locations?). Also, the hotel apparently hosts a lot of weddings and other functions and it can be very crowded and noisy in the lobby area.
