Night desk man was rather taciturn but otherwise very efficient with check-in.

Mould, peeling paint, inoperative equipment, dirty room. No housekeeping appearance. I chose here because it got better reviews than the Boone hotels. That was a mistake. What a dump! I won¿t be back.

Your search is over! The Holiday Inn Express in Flat Rock NC is new. You would expect it to be clean and fresh, but it also comes with a full hot breakfast. Rooms include microwave, fridge and Keurig coffee maker (with pods!). The room rate was a bonus

It was in good shape .The in room safe was a plus .

Picture showed a couch in the room I selected. It had a chair , not a couch . Nowhere comfortable for two people to sit . No soap in room .No counter space in bathroom.

The ease of the check in and check out process, and the staff just definitely. Also the fact that IHG members get the choice to request a late check out, normally check out at 11am but being a member allows me to check out late at 2PM every time I stay.

The staff friendliness and willingness to help in any way. The night clerk assisted with the thermostat and door opening. Super personality! The day clerk even offered to assist my husband because she saw his 2 canes. The food staff was excellent.

Very thin walls. The person in the room next to me got up at 5am and must have been part cat, because it sounded like he was coughing up a furball for about an hour. Sounded like he was in my room...got no sleep

Hot breakfast was not available due to shortage of staffing. But they did have some other typical breakfast foods that can be taken back to the room.

The room, elevator, and common areas were exceptionally clean. The breakfast to-go was well stocked. Overall this was a fantastic resting stop during our drive from Florida to Michigan.
