Super 8 by Wyndham Black Mountain/Asheville East

I liked how relatively nice it was for the price.

At one point I saw a spider traipsing the floor in my room, but for being in a room on the first floor in a forest-y area in the middle of August, I don't fault the hotel any for that.

As usual, the staff and location

There was a mouse in my room, the neighbor was noisy

The mattress, n fact, I'd like to know the brand, if someone can let me know ~ as I can buy one when the time comes and the front desk staff, allowed me to check-in early which given my circumstances for needing a motel room ~ was much appreciated

Room 218 smelled like it used to be a smoker's room

The views were spectacular! Furniture in the rooms was nice, and comfortable. It is the perfect place to rest on a journey and a definite step up from a tent. The AC worked beautifully even near 100 degrees. Staff is friendly, and I will be back.

As you can expect with an older motel, I could hear everything from outside; the insulation could use an update. The mattress covers were frayed, and the linens need to be replaced due to bleach wear; but they were clean.

People sitting on benches outside by our room, that I think live there. They were loud and hard to get to sleep. Shouldn't put guests stay by permanent residents at hotel.

It may not be the Ritz but for the money it?s much better than other super 8?s

They just updated their rooms and they look really good! The only thing that turned me off was that they didn?t change the shower curtain and it was dirty. They might?ve missed it I don?t know. That was my only concern.

Entered my rm., called office asked for room freshener,25 min.later,walkdown to check in,asked for different room,my room smelled as of dirty laundry musk. Asked for 1st floor if possible with my disability. Said no, no rooms 1st floor. 2nd floor door ope

Price, comfort, and cleanliness

For the benefit of travelers¿ plans, I think the property should be clear about serving breakfast beverages (coffee, tea, and juices) and pastries. This does not impact or bother me, but ¿free breakfast¿ typically suggests more than is offered here.

They never cleaned the room even after requested. TV remote was busted, and they taped it back together, worked part of the time. There was no mention. of additional charged for pet until we checked had to pay another 40 dollars

All the basics - clean, hot shower, comfy bed, wifi, MW, and TV.

Too $$$ for what it was, and AC unit very noisy.

It is within walking distance to downtown Black Mt. NC. I stayed several nights and asked not to be bothered as I slept during the day. I was not bothered. The young man at the counter was exceptionally nice each time we spoke.

It's not a new hotel so you really get what you pay for. The rooms need updating but they were nice and clean. For breakfast there are muffins and a juice selection. Coffee is available around the clock in the lobby. I will stay again.

The location

The room was dirty and had a bad smell to it. The bathtub would not drain.

Nice front desk guy and very clean room.

Worst bed I've ever tried to sleep on - lumpy yet hard mattress

Easy access back to the highway. Fairly quiet.

Lights were too bright outside of the window and the curtains were not thick enough to block it out enough. Carpet was filthy and turned our feet black.

Staff was very helpful and the property and room was very clean and well stocked

The pool hours were 10am to 7pm. They should leave it open till at least 10 pm.

Very happy with the staff at check in desk. Had extended family and was gave two rooms adjacent to each other and don't have to ask.

Parking was a little tight. Had 6 buses in lot on back of hotel. And found a lighter in the floor under the desk

Location

Something backed up in the shower. I wouldn't use the shower. There was only 1 chair in the room.

Very nice. Comfortable. Clean. The clerk at the front desk was so friendly and helpful.

the breakfast consisted of only store bought muffins, coffee and juice. A bit disappointing, but would still stay here again.

Location. Tub and shower (so many places don't have tubs but tubs are wonderful.) Also like refrigerator and micro, table and chairs.

Staff was super friendly and nice! Location was fantastic for my trip. And as Bob Barker says, " the price is right".

Breakfast ¿¿¿¿ was disappointing, only packaged muffins juice, tea and coffee. Room wasn't vacuum along the sides of the bed ¿¿¿.
