Red Roof Plus+ St Louis - Forest Park/Hampton Ave

Good location, quiet, clean room

Safety lock on door was ripped off, toilet did not flush properly, I thought Red Roof Inn Plus meant that rooms had mini fridges and microvwaves, but the room had neither

The room was clean. The staff were ok.

They didn’t have shampoo and conditioner and soap in the room. When we asked them about it they only gave us shampoo. Pricey.

The hotel is conveniently located as a stopover along Route 66, making it a practical choice for travelers on the road. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and communication pleasant. The mattress provided a comfortable night’s sleep, and the water pressure in the shower was adequate,enough for a decent rinse after a long day of driving.

Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by several concerning issues. While taking a short walk to find food, I felt uneasy due to the large presence of individuals begging on the street, which made the area feel unsafe. After showering, I noticed the bathroom floor became very wet, and the cleanliness was appalling….the shower mat turned black from the filthy floor as I wiped the water up . Most disturbingly, I spotted what appeared to be excrement on the door frame near the toilet, suggesting someone may have used it for support while getting up. This level of hygiene is simply unacceptable. Compared to other motels I’ve stayed at along Route 66,many of which were in cleaner and safer locations this property did not represent good value for money.

Couple workers said lies about my room and my reservation I caught it and pushed for manager.

A fairly quiet place to stay. We slept well.

The tv was not working as well as it should

It was quite an unusual experience; it was my inaugural stay at a motel. While the room was tidy, it had a strong scent of cleaning supplies, although my husband remarked he'd be concerned if it smelled differently. Additionally, we had to pay extra for a room with a refrigerator and microwave.

To be frank, it felt unsettling and uncomfortable, with peculiar noises emanating from the street.
