Hotel Marceline

The room we booked was to be a Queen Suite with living room and balcony but when we checked in we received a Queen only room. They need to change the description if that is not what you will receive when you select that type of room.

The hotel was awesome and the staff was amazing. Great prices and so cool to see the way it was decorated. Would definitely stay there again!

Close to our family & friends for holidays.

No frills but yet frills aren’t what we look for. It served our purpose and it was good value for the price.

The staff was nice.

I don't know if I got an old room, but it felt like it. It looked charming and the reviews looked good but I was very disappointed. The wifi was not that great in the room I had. The bathroom was not very clean. There was a bar of soap on the floor behind the door. Hair in the bathtub and on the toilet.

Staff was great. The location was perfect. The hotel was very clean.

My biggest issue is that the room we got had double twin beds and the rooms were really really small.

So, we never even stayed there we got there, and the office was locked and nobody was there to check us in nobody answered the phone, so we ended up going to another motel but then they tried to charge me because I had the rooms book.

I really loved the art on the walls and the lay out it felt like a really home feeling

Bed was a little too firm

Room smelled very moldy making sleep difficult. Room was clean but no where to hang clothes or put personal items

The Staff Regina and Kevin were absolutely great! I love that the room has Disney touches.

Volume on the TV was too low

The executive suite was very spacious and well equipped.

The sofa wasn’t exactly a sofa bed- just a sofa that one could sleep on. Our biggest difficult was with the WiFi. The signal was very weak, and we could hardly access the internet that way at all. This also affected our ability to use streaming services on the televisions. Only one of those actually would turn on anyway.

It was clean and a great value

We arrived a little after 8:00 pm and the office was closed . There was a number on the door to call after hours . I was fine with doing that but the on call person was quite rude and didn’t seem to be expecting us. We were treated like an inconvenience. Considering I paid up front I expected to be expected.

Everything about it! We loved the Disney theme inside of the hotel room. And it was clean.

It was just a tad dark. But doable.

I loved that my family could feel at home here. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, the environment was quiet, and supplies were provided in the kitchen and bathroom.

That my visit was too short. I wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing I could think of that would have made this room more entertaining and family friendly would be board games or even some Disney movies provided in the entertainment center in the living room which would also add to the Disney aesthetic ☺️

There was nothing we liked.

What didn't I like? Well we were traveling with the family. Was wanting a break from driving so went to Booking.com to book a room AND PAID ONLINE. This was the only place available in a 20 mile radius. We booked it, arrived at the hotel at 9:00pm to find the lobby closed with a sign saying if it's after 8pm call the after hours number. We called five times to reach a girl named Jasmines voice mail. We left messages, never received a call back and was never able to even check in or gain access to our room! We even went across the street to the gas station and asked if they knew a girl named Jasmine or who ran the Hotel. No one did. So instead of driving exhausted and risking our families life, we ended up sleeping in our car. I will make sure to let everyone know not to book with this hotel online due to not ever knowing if they will be able to gain access to the room they paid for. Horrible service and whoever is in charge of the after hours number on a Saturday night should be fired! UNACCEPTABLE!Update: I contacted booking.com several times and sent messages to them and the property, the actual property would never return my emails or calls. Booking,com did. However, I was denied a refund even though I was not able to gain access. I submitted call log pictures of the 6-7 times i tried to contact the hotel that night of arrival, I messaged booking.com the next morning when I had service and was told I didnt contact them soon enough and was denied a refund! I fought it for almost a month and was never made whole, never offered a discount on another room, nothing!Beware, if you arrive after the front desk person decides to leave or is not available, you will not be able to access your room and they DONT answer the after hours number. DO NOT PREPAY to the property! You are better off staying either in Brookfield, or Macon!

Second Stay for me. Its a couple miles off the main highway. But its a clean, comfortable place to stay. Don't let the rates fool you as its far better than the rates appear. Instead of looking at inferior higher priced places in Brookfield Missouri, just do s short drive to Marceline, MO you will be glad you did

Very small town

The internet was horrible. I could not make local calls on my cell phone. We lost electricity for about 5 or 10 minutes.

Nicely decorated, comfortable bed, spacious.

Bathroom needed some attention. Shower curtain looked dirty and grout needed deep cleaned in areas. Bathroom door also wouldn’t fully close.
