Water Street Inn

Location was perfect!

It stated it was a 3.5 star hotel, half the hotel has been renovated the other side has not. The non renovated side is a 2 star experience

We have stayed at the Waterstreet several times, we love it. Historic, great location.

The only thing we would have changed was our mattress, comfortable but too soft.

Was disappointed that the hotel restaurant added an additional 4% charge to the bill. When we asked the waitress what the charge was for, she didn't know and said it was something that the hotel added. It would have been nice to know before we ordered.

Unique decore, fireplace, whirlpool, in-house restaurant, balcony and location.

Our room had a queen bed, it would have been much better and easy to provide a king. A microwave and fridge would have been nice. Also, I did not appreciate the added amount for parking.

Wasn't mentioned when booking that there is an extra charge for parking and only one vehicle per room could park in the hotel parking. Ice machines are not located on hotel room floors, but it is an older hotel so some things can be expected.

Some room items falling apart, like chairs and wall corners and linoleum, we didn't like. Also, we couldn't get the Jacuzzi to drain.

I really enjoyed working with the staff at Waterstreet Inn. hotel employees were just amazing people and made my experience incredible.

The room needs a for a makeover!! paint, replace TV. There's no bar in the bathtub and with the tub being so deep and wide it's a little dangerous getting in and out without a bar. There's also no shower mat. The fixtures in the tub need to be updated.

Convince for bike trails, walking, restaurants. Great staff

the room was bazaar. Big hot tub next to a short bed surrounded by old carpet and Victorian furniture! The bathroom had a tiny shower and toilet and many holes in the walls - looked like someone took a hammer to it. Crazy

Nice location was on the river and within walking distance to the shops. Friendly helpful staff.

Room was dirty- the fridge had a wine spill that hadn't been cleaned from previous tenants, the non traffic area of carpet not vacuumed (crumbs and hair tie found), and the bathroom was very dusty (surfaces dusty and vent had caked on dust)

The Water Street Inn is an old hotel close to the St. Croix River in downtown Stillwater. We loved the historical atmosphere and location.

The night we stayed, there was a wedding reception in the hotel and the music was so loud I could have sworn the band was set up in our dining room. I called the front desk and was told the music would be done by 11:30, but ended up being after midnight.

Helpful front desk staff and manager. Entire experience was amazing, very much enjoyed it and will b returning to this hotel.

Helpful front desk staff and manager, rooms are very dusty and old, which is in keeping with their whole Victorian vintage vibe. My biggest issue with them is the tvs in all the rooms we stayed at ( we stayed in 3 different rooms) were ancient 32in tub

The location is perfect, within walking distance to so many shops and restaurants.

The staff in the hotel and restaurant were mediocre at best. The furniture (including bed) in the room was terrible - very old and uncomfortable. The wedding reception below us was very loud, people in the hallways were very loud.

Location was everything w/ this hotel! It was great to be so close to restaurants and nightlife. They had a great bar in the hotel w/ live music which was very fun. I would recommend this hotel on location alone.

The hotel could definitely use a renovation. It was very old school, dusty, worn carpet, old wallpaper, etc. It also had a very distinctive smell. It felt like there was air fresheners everywhere in the hotel. I opened up a window to get fresh air in.

Beautiful old-world hotel and very large, nicely appointed rooms. Excellent staff.

Very loud -- on very busy road across from local hot spot. Bring ear-plugs for a good night's rest.

Beautiful setting close to the river. Courteous and friendly staff.

Road and truck noise till midnight. Semi trucks began unloading shortly after 6am.
