That the room I originally thought we booked and had to get moved to was actually good size.
Mattress was firm, location to highway and restaurants. Even though the hotel was busy with people the room was quiet.
This hotel single-handedly restored my faith that it?s possible to get a beautiful room, that is clean and the staff is friendly, for under $---. Before now, I wouldn?t dare get a room for under a $--- for fear of being killed, or bed bugs. THANKS!!!!

The location and price
It¿s clean but the workers are weird and give harassment vibes. They lurk on you on the cameras and One of their employees ¿Jay¿ weirdly texted my cell phone and said I gave him my number & when I said I didn¿t know anyone by the name he later visited

Top Tips
- Availability at Northfield hotels drops sharply during Defeat of Jesse James Days (first weekend in September) and college commencements in May. Book at least 6-8 weeks ahead to secure your choice and avoid nonrefundable rates, which are common during these peaks. Confirm cancellation policies if your plans may change.
- Many Northfield hotels are near active rail lines. Request a room facing away from the railroad or toward a courtyard for quieter stays, as freight trains often pass after midnight.
- Historic downtown properties may lack full step-free access. Request an accessible or ground-floor room when booking if you need to avoid stairs or narrow elevators, and verify ramp access or visual alarms directly with your hotel.
- Northfield is approximately 45-60 minutes by car from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) in standard traffic. Allow extra time if traveling during morning or evening rush hour, and check car rental options as rideshare availability after midnight can be limited.
- Free onsite parking is typical for hotels outside downtown, while hotels in the central area often rely on public or metered parking with potential fees for oversized vehicles. Check parking policies and availability before arrival, especially if you need accessible parking.
- For winter visits (November–March), confirm that hotel walkways are shoveled, lobbies are heated, and parking is accessible. Contact your hotel regarding overnight check-in procedures during heavy snowfall to ensure a smooth arrival.
- Late-night dining options are limited in Northfield outside of major college events and summer weekends. Many restaurants close by 9-10 PM, especially on Sundays. Bring snacks or ask your hotel about available grab-and-go items if arriving after typical dining hours.
- Major chain hotels are limited in Northfield, with brands such as AmericInn and Fairfield Inn & Suites available. Compare eligible hotels in the area if collecting loyalty points or using elite status benefits is important for your stay.
