The stairs are a little tough!
This is a lovely place to stay with excellent staff and great food and hospitality.
The rooms are very small and need updating. But we do understand it's an old building.
The atmosphere was nice, and the people who worked there were pleasant.
The room was way too tight, and could use some paint and updating. The air conditioner could barely keep the room cool, no way to open windows to get fresh air. The bathroom needs work!!! The bedding looked old pilly , like it needed to be replaced.
The room was very clean. The staff was very accommodating when we told them we had to leave in the morning before breakfast was served. They made us breakfast to go consisting of fresh baked scones, granola & yogurt and fresh fruit.
The walls are pretty thin and we could hear our neighbors have conversations.
The historic feel of this hotel is wonderful. Set among the historic homes in Bayview. Our room was decorated so well, and the beds were comfy.
the staff was super friendly and helpful.
Room was on the third floor and we had no elevator
Dinner at the hotel as exceptional
Strict 4:00 checkin
Friendly and had all I needed
Water in shower was sometimes intermittent
Antique style, charming and great staff.
The most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.
This is a charming historic hotel in a great location. The rooms are clean and comfortable, if small, but it is historic. Staff is friendly.
The included breakfast was uninspired and disappointing. Grocery store pastry served in the grocery store box with tired fruit and sad accompaniments. They could at least put the muffins on a serving platter and having some decent fruit. I’ve stayed here several times and in the past they served a wonderful hot breakfast. Not anymore more.
Roberta was exceptional as well as the rest of the staff! Michael the waiter was also exceptional. Everyone was friendly the meal we had was top notch!
Even though the place was very empty we had an enjoining room with strangers and you could hear every word they said. I could even hear the guy snoring in the night.
The staff was lovely, the breakfast was good,
The doors locked at 9, and you had to park on the side of the road.
Continental Breakfast was very good, including eggs and sausage and fresh baked goods. We also ate at the 1911, food was a bit pricey but all gourmet excellent. Porches and terraces are fun to relax on. Happy hour was a bonus with excellent cocktails.
No fridge in the room and a small television. Bath amenities were minimal.
The staff were lovely -- so welcoming and gracious. The breakfast every morning was excellent. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel and its neighborhood. It felt like a hidden retreat after enjoying all of the great offerings in and around Petoskey!
I felt the cleanliness of the room could have been better. The mattresses felt very run-down and could use replacing. It's a historic hotel so I know space is limited, but the small shower stall with old fixtures was cramped and difficult to use.
Charming inn. Good food.
No soundproofing. We could hear the tv next door even though it wasn't turned up that loud. Then we could fully hear snoring in that same room which was disconcerting and kind of gross.
