The Beach Rose Inn

nothing. it was a big disappointment

Beat up, dirty, not like the pictures. Sketchy, did not feel safe.

This hotel was so filthy. I had trouble breathing and left in the middle of the night. There was a distinct fume in my room and I couldn't breath. Iwas coughing and finally I left. This should be closed down and the health department should be called in.

Stained carpets, outdated furniture, curtains stained, hot water issues. Very outdated and dingy.

The location in Wells.

There was no staff onsite to assist with check in, daily room cleanings, emergency situations, etc. This was very unnerving as I arrived late in the evening to check in and there was no one to assist or answer the first time I called. I felt very unsafe.

The location was great and the price was reasonable for what we were able to afford.

Check in was a bit odd having to call someone for the lock box information. We only saw one employee on site when we were there. The ice machine was broken pretty inconvenient..

Staff was friendly, and the location good!

Electrical sockets didn?t work, burned out light bulb in bathroom not replaced, and the lampshades were old, cracked, and broken.

This was a very bad property. They had to move us to another hotel. Staff wasn't around. Very old and dirty.

The location is great as you are right in the middle of everything you may need as far as stores and restaurants; you are also very close drive to the beach although you do need a car to get around conveniently.

Bed was old and it appeared to be dusty especially around the perimeter and in corners.

It was conveniently located, the staff were friendly.

It was a little run down and the beds were such that you sunk in. It was ok, we didn't spend a lot of time there.

The bed was comfortable and clean.

There was a strong ammonia smell in the hotel, and a strong floral smell in our room. There was a sliding door to a deck, but it was bolted shut. Walls were thin, and wifi was very slow.

Clean, location, comfortable bed, good shower.

The people next door kept TV on all night. We knock and they never responded. No sleep. No microwave.

It feels like you're at Grandma's....very cozy, and comfortable bed!

My room was close and personal to the road.

Hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. Our apartment was especially clean and new. The room looks better in person than the pics provided online. Wells beach is beautiful. 2 minute walk. And the sunset views from the property were breathtaking!

Perfect stay! Would not change a thing!

Avoid the McDonalds across the street. Cold food.

Great location, cozy and quiet environment (I was there in mid-October the off season). I checked in after hours but the next day the lady who I spoke with was very humorous and helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Very good value for the price.

Due to design of the building, it took over two minutes for hot water to reach the room so just be prepared for that possibility. Some parts of the building are under light construction so expect to see yellow tape, etc. Minor complaints, this is nice.

The hotel was easy to find.

The room was exceptionally small. Not many options for outlets to charge cellphones or laptops. Check-in was very weird and thankfully we were gone 90% of our days, because the whole set up was pretty odd.

Staff were very helpful with questions I had about restaurants, and local activities. It was my second stay there in two years, and will definitely go back! The price was very reasonable too!

Our room was clean and very cozy

We had a later check in, 8:00 pm so door was looked and had to call the posted number. Was told key was in the mail box. And no one in lobby when left at 8:00 so put key back in envelope it came in on the front desk.

Staff was very nice. Close to beaches.

Lumpy mattress. Floor tilted so much that you rolled into center of mattress.

reasonably priced.... felt like a bed and breakfast... very friendly staff....
