Hawks House Inn

There was a comfy living room for reading and relaxing near a kitchen with tea and coffee available. The host made good coffee and banana bread each morning. He was friendly and helpful texting us before our arrival with confirmation and directions.

Some rooms share bathrooms, but this is a choice the customer makes for a lower price.

Owner/proprietor. Bath towels. Bed.

Closeness of Room 1 to road noise, but this was not an issue after 10 pm when traffic was far less.

Host was very responsive to needs. Enjoyed privacy while knowing help was right around corner. Sweet, comfortable room.

The ambience! A wonderful feeling from arrival until departure. I felt right at home.

Breakfast was out early and was plenty warm.Hawks house was central to many points of interest and close enough to Rt. 1 to easily access them, but far enough from Rt. 1 to be quiet and secluded.

The breakfast is very basic - the coffee is excellent and you can get tea etc as well. It is self serve. I really enjoyed sitting and quietly enjoying the view with my coffee. The grounds are lovely. If you are a birder, ask the host about where you can view a variety of warblers towards the back of the property.The host is very helpful and friendly. I would love to go back.

I tend to need a larger breakfast because the events I had to attend did not provide for a time for lunch. However, there are several places within easy driving distance with great food and if you want to bring in food or leftovers, each room has its own bin in the refrigerator. I made use of that perk and the microwave the morning I was returning to the airport.

Steve was incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. We felt so comfortable in our cute little room and loved having coffee/banana bread the next morning on the porch. We are already so excited to come back!
