This motel is located just a 6-minute walk from Washington College. It offers free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk. Downtown Chestertown, Maryland is 2 miles from the motel. The Driftwood Inn has rooms decorated in rustic wood paneling and soft neutral colors. All rooms include a cable TV with HBO channels, a microwave, and refrigerator. Coffee is provided in the lobby and vending machines with drinks are available. The Inn Driftwood also provides copy and fax services at the front desk. Chester River Yacht and Country Club is 2.5 miles away from the Driftwood. Remington Farms National Wildlife Preserve is a 14-minute drive.

I liked the location. It was close enough to my destination, and had ample restaurants, gas stations, convenience stores very close by.

Cons -

The worst hotel IÂ¿ve ever stayed in. Dirty, smelled like cigarettes, one pillow on a king bed, one small towel for a king room. I left in the middle of the night and chose to get to the airport early and sleep on the floor instead of stay in the room.
Horrible HEAVY orange disinfectant smell the whole time. All the rooms were the same. It hurt my sinus. Had a headache the whole time. Suggest you remove these people. The Hotel Lobby looked like a Buddist Shrine. It was absurd. Staff unresponsive.
There was no coffee maker in the hotel room, although there was a microwave and small fridge. I had asked if it was OK if we checked out late and was told it would be fine. But my key card stopped working at the initial check out time.

We arrived very early as our flight got in at 5:40 a.m. At 11:30 we went by and asked if we could pay for an early check in. They allowed us to check in 2 1/2 hours early without a fee. They were very nice to deal with.

The room stunk badly! Afraid that our clothes would smell. It was a mixture of mildew and bad cleaning product. The sheets were dirty and there was a dead bug in the bathroom. There was no closet or anywhere to hang clothing. Not worth $----/night.
