Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Yankee Clipper Inn is a 1929 art deco mansion in the seaside town of Rockport, Massachusetts.Featuring 55” flat-screen TVs, a seasonal outdoor pool (closed for 2026), and an oceanfront gazebo, this historic inn is located 1 mile from downtown Rockport, 4 miles from central Gloucester, and near an abundance of Cape Ann swimming beaches. Complimentary breakfast is served each morning, featuring made-to-order eggs, pancakes, bacon, omelets, and fresh fruit. Guest rooms are located in one of the property’s three buildings: the Main Building, the Quarterdeck House next door, and the Bulfinch House across the street.

Pros +
- Lovely historic Inn and right on the ocean! Staff was very good. Special shout out to Hotel employee who served us a wonderful breakfast every morning and the chef who's breakfast each morning was perfect and delicious.

- Only negative was our room which was nice but the bathroom was separated into small bathroom with sink and toilet and the shower was on the other side of the armoire and pretty tight. Also we could have used more flat space for toiletries.
- It smelled a little funky. Lots of stairs to climb. Expensive and not worth the money spent.
- The General Manager was very surly and obnoxious. It is perfectly OK to decline requests from guests - but if you are in the service industry, you need to learn how to do it in a polite and friendly manner.

I loved everything about this inn. The staff was lovely, very friendly, and fun. I felt right a home. The room was adorable with an amazing view, very clean. Breakfast was amazing, you wonâ≢t leave hungry. The Yankee Clipper Inn deserves a 5 star rating.

The proximity to the waterfront, the delicious breakfast, and the hospitable staff. Hotel Employee went above and beyond to assure that we had a comfortable stay, and guided us to great excursions nearby.
Nothing to report
An antique filled bed and breakfast. Lovely setting on the water. Friendly staff. Nice outdoor pool. Fabulous made to order breakfast in a lovely sun room overlooking the sea. Close to Rockport center and a short drive to some great beaches.
It didn't bother us at all but people should be aware there is no elevator. This is an older historic home.
Great room, comfortable bed, good shower, plenty of hot water. Great view, great location, minutes from town.I couldn't find anything to complain about

Carpets were a little dirty and could use a good cleaning or replaced.
I think we most liked the setting. We don¿t believe you can find better views or to be so close to the ocean.
