This historic, Essex Street Inn, Ascend Hotel Collection is located on Highway 1 in the Newburyport, Massachusetts city center. The inn offers a daily continental breakfast with homemade muffins and pastries and free Wi-Fi. The individually decorated, colonial-themed rooms at the Essex Street Inn feature cable TV. - The best and most Colonial authentic place to stay in Newburyport! Real classic luxury rooms, modernized with the right amenities and the friendliest staff. RIGHT in town and with parking, too? You cannot beat it

Cons -
- Rooms are not very private. Windows open the street and you can hear most everything that happens Inside the hotel.
- I wish there was another chair in the room.
- Parking for a full sized pickup truck was nonexistent. Had to keep moving my vehicle
