Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites New Iberia - Avery Island By IHG

The staff is the only reason that I give 1 star. The hotel location is terrible and hotel is so dirty. The breakfast was terrible.

Clean, comfortable and quiet!

Good location, clean, and the rooms were well sized. Check in was easy and Heather was awesome -- friendly, quick and helpful. Been awhile since I stayed at a HI -- experience was pleasant. Nice work.

The staff

Towels was horrible and the bed smells like dried Pee you don't know until after you are getting ready to go to sleep. I did two rooms because we went to a funeral. I'm 71 alone with other family members in their 70s. Both rooms needed better towel .

The staff were very kind

The bathroom tissue holder was broken and there were bugs in one of the light fixtures. We told the front desk person but nothing was done about it. But no big deal.

The hotel was conveniently located just off the highway. The breakfast was above average for a hotel breakfast.

The entire hotel had a strange smell to it. It was even worse in my room. The smell was very strong and never went away.

Perfect. We had a group of 5 - just needing a place to sleep that was clean and economical. It was. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. It was in a perfect location for our New Iberia experience.

Very quiet room on 3 floor facing backside away from the Highway so maybe that¿s why.

Would like more fruit or healthy options at breakfast.

The staff could not have been more helpful. The room was clean, well appointed, and new looking. The breakfast was the best we have encountered in ANY lodging on this trip! We liked it so much we booked a second night.

Not a thing!

Clean, spacious room and bath. Safe included. Full breakfast. AC & heat worked well (we used both during our Fall trip). Well lit room. Comfy bed with full sized pillows. Nice window treatments with privacy screen that let in light. Perfect. Good price.

Staying here before I liked that the rooms were in the process of being renovated. In New Iberia, there are not that many options for nicer hotels and this one seems to be one of the newer ones.

The front desk checkin person was horrible. Upon checkin she continuously was coughing and had no mask on (during these covid times one would think that this would be a requirement). Also we had noticed what looked like a bedbug.

Staff left my room door open for 12 hrs and i didn't request room service

Not much for the price I paid

Construction in lobby. Debris and plastic sheeting everywhere. Smell of cigarettes in lobby area. No easy access to my room from rear parking area. Artificial lighting is nauseating especially when the external building lights are flickering constantly.

The whole experience of our stay was exceptional. The staff members are nice and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. The parking lot is clean and well lit. The breakfast was a great start to the day.

They do not offer a non-dairy milk product for breakfast.

The room size and the price

The breakfast staff was awful. We went down at 8:00 and there was only 2 omelets, a little gravy and a few pieces of ham with some danishes and cereal. When I asked the breakfast lady if she was going to bring out more food she got hostile. Awful service
