Located off Interstate 470, this motel is 10 minutes’ drive from Central Topeka. Features include an on-site launderette and cable TV. Free Wi-Fi is provided to all guests. Each room features a TV with more than 100 digital cable channels. A microwave and a small refrigerator are found in all simply decorated rooms at the Plaza Inn. A 24-hour reception and fax and photo copying facilities are available to all guests of the Topeka Plaza Inn. The entire property has air conditioning. The Topeka Zoo is 15 minutes’ drive from the hotel. The Kansas State Capitol is 4 miles away.

Pros +

Clean and comfortable, good location for our travel plans
Great internet speed, friendly staff, and nice room decor.
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was polite.

Cons -

Needs some updating and minor repairs, toilet seat was broken and looks like it had been for awhile.
All rooms are outdoor entry. This was fine for me since I had lots of luggage to bring in--parking goes right up to every room; the neighborhood is very safe. (Some people prefer no outdoor entry.)
Disadvantages: rougher area of town, no breakfast provided, no coffee pot in room, no ice machine, had to climb a dozen steps to the room which was hard for a person with breathing challenges.
