Days Inn by Wyndham Great Lakes Naval Base

It was very convenient for our reason for traveling which was to attend the Navy boot camp graduation. There is a paid shuttle that will drop you off at the pedestrian gate, saving a lot of time with parking on base.

The breakfast was very carb heavy with limited protein or fresh options.

The location and the manager. Location was perfect! Right where we needed to be for the Navy base and surrounding area. The manager was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to welcome us, make us feel welcomed, and inform us of things.

The beds were absolutely horrible. The frames were metal and clanged every time your foot grazed it. The mattress was not comfortable at all. The a.c. unit didn't put out a lot of cool air. The staff turned off my a.c. while we were gone. No door signage.

The area is nice. It was quiet in room even with some commotion (police near, fighting) we weren't bothered. Many family's stay here that have kids graduating Naval boot camp. 6minute drive to nice casino. $10 free play each new person!

They have square pillows. But 4 was on each bed so if u like regular size maybe bring own!

Location in proximity to navy training base.

Not very clean. Breakfast not ready on time. Had to go to McDonald's or miss ceremony. Hard and caved in mattresses. Room rate should be lower given the condition of this hotel.

Good room, reception and surroundings. Also a good breakfast.

I was made uncomfortable by the disdainful treatment with which I was treated by a lady at the reception on Wednesday and by one of the gentlemen when he realised that I spoke little English and could barely understand them.

Clean room and hot breakfast. Everyone was nice and hotel was quite.

The staff thought I was alone and kept knocking on my door on some weird creepy stuff I was scared .

No microwave shower controlling water temp was a problem. Was a bit over priced.

Proximity to naval station.

Water pressure was terrible, not enough pressure to rinse my razor of. Shower nozzle was installed incorrectly, my options were to turn left for cold water or turn right for hot, there was not way to adjust for warm water

I like that this hotel offers free breakfast, my children love the mini pancakes. I also LOVE the staff, very nice and accommodating. Very pleasant stay and experience for me and my family. The rooms are clean as well so that¿s always a huge plus!

It was close to the naval station. It was quiet and close to Mac Donald¿s so at least food was available.

Room very beat up. Cracked tile not grouted unfinished bathroom. Carpets worn out. No microwave. Towels thin. Coffee and breakfast poor quality. Tears in sheets. Toilet clogged. The area is a light industrial. Not much around.

Continental Breakfast could be improved

Nothing. Being close to the location does NOT make up for the rude obnoxious staff. The late night parties that apparently the staff partakes in. The bottles being thrown against the walls. This was by far the worst hotel stay I have ever been at!

The staff threw parties in the rooms and when we asked at 2:30 in the morning if the could please quiet them down he was like no we don¿t have a problem with it. Then we saw that same staff member in the room when we walked out to sleep in our car!

Good location close to the Naval Base.

Hotel tended to "Nickel and dime" the guest. I paid month in advance, them the hotel had a $50.00 "deposit" to cover any damages to the room. The deposit was charged to my credit card immediately (6-22-22) and has still not been refunded (6-27-22).

Dirty, dated, and expensive. This place desperately needs a big renovation, or needs to be condemned

Nothing! They charged me twice for different amounts. Played dumb about returning my money.

They are family run and a scam. I wasn¿t the only guest there that they charged twice for different amounts. When I confronted them they verbally attacked me. It took 5 days to get my money back.

I believe the hotel was family owned. They were all very nice. We paid a low price so I wasn¿t expecting anything fancy. It was clean. I would recommend this hotel if someone needed a low cost. Easy to get to the Naval base.

The blanket on the bed was as thin as a sheet and we could hear the person in the next room snoring at night. I would suggest better blankets, but it was clean.

There wasn¿t much that I liked about the hotel.

There was no ice machine there was no soda machines had a hard time contacting the front office. And my automatic card or key to get into the room would have to be re-flashed every day I was there

I liked that i didn¿t have to walk through the front desk everytime i left. I could just come in through the one and only side door

The rooms said no smoking but clearly people were smoking marijuana and there was this fly in the room that would just not leave. There were 2 holes on the carpet and just not clean the room smelled very musty
