Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Matteson Chicago

Booked as 4 guest and only gave us a room with one bed!!! No option for refunds.

Location and staff

Yes the rooms were terrible. Not clean, stains on the beds. One room that they gave had a bed that was not made up from the night before

The location.

My sister room had mold on the bathroom calling. Our first room had a Cigarette smoke odor and the telephone did not work. So we went back downstairs and asked for the second room and that room was OK. However, the lamp did not work.

Checking out. And that it was close in proximity to the family we were visiting.

We were not given the room we paid for. Given a room w/ a sofa bed, no linen for it in the room (1st time ever seen seen that). Lady at front desk not helpful at all in obtaining linen.

Clean, comfortable, good furnishings, quiet, fridge, large bathroom, lots of parking, friendly front desk staff.

The hotel was under remodel and no working pool. Nothing downstairs but the restaurant w/ poor service; it turned into a loud obnoxious club at night. I changed rooms d/t 1st room having gap in the door. Not my expectation 4 IHG brand; more like Motel 6.

Remodel going on Oversize HANDTOWELS as dry towels Bathroom: door was LOUD, SHOWER SOAP DISPENSER NOT MOUNTED, TV WAS TOO SMALL, TOILET TOO SHORT. FELT LIKE I WAS SITTING ON THE FLOOR. HANDSOAP SHOULD A LIQUID NOT A TINY BAR. Ice machines did not work.

Toilet did not work in room and was never fixed after complaint and nothing was dine

The quietness

I don't like the way that they have you put your garbage in the hallway therefore if everybody's putting their garbage in the hallway that causes rats and roaches then the garbage is piled up in the garbage room which is disgusting

Location, familiarity

Restaurant/bar lacked customer service and provided little options for hotel guests

Quiet, clean and convenient

Everything old and rundown lost hot water multiple times

That was nothing I liked

The wrong wasn't nasty they never gave us clean towels They never changed our sheets. Thats what it seem like it was backing up. It was just a horrible experience.

Very friendly and efficient staff.

I needed to extend my stay and I was unhappy about the process. Staff handling the process was excellent and explained the steps.

It was clean. IHG standard.

They have an out of service pool.

Clean and quiet. Very convenient location

The room that was given to me was for wheel chair accessible which was was very inconvenient especially while showering. The desk staff was not helpful in attempting to fix this

Bar Louie is inside

There were a lot of ants on the bathroom floor. & bathroom door would not close

The room was very clean which is an IHG promise.

Illinois has a loose cannabis law and there were guest hanging by the entrance smoking cannabis. I wish they could erect signage at a distance where smokers can smoke so other guests don't have to walk through it.

Hotel was very dirty. Asked for towels several times and never received them. They only had one towel for a room with 2 queen beds. This has been by far the dirtiest hotel I¿ve ever stayed at. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere
