Rooms and hotel were filthy, unsafe environment, appliances inop.; just about everything

Our room was located in the quietest part of the motel. Love the quiet. For a older motel the staff work to made things happen for the quest

That the elevator wasn¿t working

Did not have to go through any complications during check in or check out. Staff was friendly

The room we got was supposed to be non-smoking but it reeked of cigarettes even though there were a few signs in the room itself that say it was not a smoking room. Smoking rooms should be kept away from non-smoking rooms

Very nice manager/owner.

From the check-in office to the room it needs a complete makeover. It is run down & '80's dumpy. Carpet, paint, furniture, wallpaper, bathroom, drapes...all need to go! The towels were thread thin & had a blueish tint from over bleaching I guess?

The price, owner was polite and helpful, good location for our needs

Bldg very old, vending machines empty, elevator broken with no sign on 2nd floor...we used it only to find out it was broken...I guess we were lucky, internet connection was only one bar

This hotel is a great value for the price we paid. We stayed 4 nights and slept really well. Amazing king size mattress that was firm so we couldn't feel when the other person got up or turned over. Room was clean and everything worked. Peace and quiet

We didn't need these items but in case you do; there is no breakfast and no pool. Elevator didn't work but only 2 floors. We had trouble getting internet in our room but we talked to the front desk and they fixed it for us. We would come back again.

Near were I needed to be pieced lower than most a bit older than most but very quite so Slept great

Economical room, clean, no bells and whistles, but since I didn't pay for any, it very much met my expectations. Hotel employee was very professional and courteous. I'd stay here again.

Room smelled a little smoky; the people who rented it the day before us removed the smoke detector and smoked in the room. It wasn't severe enough to drive us form the room, and it was the only short-coming we ran into.

A self employed owner who is trying to make his place better.... excellent management.

Is just an older place but there is nothing wrong with that. Suited my 5 days perfectly for what I needed

I cannot believe this qualifies as 2.5 stars. Filthy corridors and room; hard to navigate; broken stairs; difficult heating unit; empty vending machine. Avoid if possible.

Everything. Service was minimal. The facilities are old and need repair. Holes on the bedsheets. One chair in the room, no table. Bad signal on television. Smoke detector ripped off the wall, stuffed in a drawer. Blood stains on the drapery. Broken lamps.

Location quietness and affordability.

There was a certain odor in the room. Was it the cleaning products used or B.O. from a previous lodger? I don't know. It's good that my nose became used to it quickly. So almost a non issue.

This America’s Best Value Inn / Barrington, IL is a very comfortable, clean, well-kept hotel, with a comfortable bed with firm mattress (that is, good back support), nicely heated with easy-to-understand climate controls. I loved this hotel experience!

No negatives; all is well here.

There was not a single thing that I like about this hotel. My stay at the hotel was complete disaster. Ask them to refund our money as we don't want to stay there but he refused. Outside of the hotel was dirty and smelly too.

Linens were not clean & reused as there were blood & other stains on it. Bathroom floor had blood, urine & other dirty stuff on it. For breakfast, there were only 6 old donuts , 6 old slices of bread and 1/8 jug of juice.

Nothing! It sucked and the manager is a piece of crap

It had roaches ! Shower and bath tub was DISGUSTING! The room smelled weird! The air conditioner did not work! Loud neighbors everything about it was horrible

I think the people running it are very nice and attentive. It's great that it's in a really nice location where it's a short ride to plenty of shopping and restaurants.

The cleanliness was awful and some things were in disrepair. I'd stayed here a few times in the past when I've had out of town guests and while it was a bare bones hotel, the standards of cleanliness were definitely much higher then.

I cannot think of one good thing about this hotel.

The guy who checked us in wasn't friendly, he kept rubbing his nose while touching my credit card and ID, the room had a weird smell, the curtains were stained and worst was the toilet. I refused to use it. We left without spending the night.
