Holiday Inn Express is usually a brand we trust but room had a smell like your crazy Aunt's house that has 2 dogs and 3 cats. If hotels are going to be "pet friendly" they should have rooms dedicated to pets. This room really smelled like pet urine.

We were very disappointed with our first night. There was constant banging in the room above ours for hours that lasted until after midnight. Loud footsteps and running and banging. We made a noise complaint and it still continued. It woke up our 9 month old son and we could not sleep. It got better the next night and we could not hear it our third night.
