We saw bed bugs & left hotel, went to AmericInn in Hampton, Iowa instead.

This is an older Hotel building probably built 60 years ago. Nothing fancy about the way it looks. It is immaculately clean the beds are comfortable the carpet is fresh. I'd stay here again.

The vicinity to Webster City.

The front of the building looked like it would fall down, like something ran into one of the pillars. The room had used tissues in one of the bedside drawers. The fridge temp was 43F and tea bags kept in container with moisture.

No hot water. Paid $20 more than the normal rate (I have stayed here multiple times) but thought at least I knew what I was getting. I had to go to Pilot to take a shower.

Not far from interstate. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Although was told heat was left on which it was and we did appreciate, it would not stay on long enough to actually keep us warm. We even turned it all the way up and still was very cold in the room. Rooms have window styles ac/heat units.

Location

Was given a dirty room first so had wait10 minutes to change. Non smoking room was filthy and smelled like smoke. Light over sink did not work.

The room was a shocker! It was roomy and clean and nice

The outside of the motel looks like a serious dive, almost drove away and said NO-WAY. But the room was nice and clean.

Close to our destination. Clean. No stairs. Value excellent for the price.

Maids never filled in-room coffee, breakfast area was locked and unavailable 2 mornings, maid didn't make bed and give clean sheets on one day, only 1 large towel left for the entire room each day, soap/shampoo not refilled every day.

Price, location. Quiet

There was not one thing I liked about this dump!

The entire place should be condemned and the owner should be put in jail for renting these rooms. They need to not pry into peoples personal business and just do their jobs!

Very disappointing experience. Do not recommend.Upon arrival, the front desk administrator told me that my reservation had been canceled because the payment was not guaranteed. However, in the Booking app my reservation was clearly active and not canceled. The booking did not require prepayment and allowed free cancellation.I tried for a long time to explain that this was not my mistake, but rather an issue on their side. Unfortunately, the administrator kept insisting that it was my fault. In the end, I had no choice but to pay separately for the room.The situation became even worse due to the room conditions. The outside temperature was around 2°F, and the heating in the room was not working. The room was extremely cold — I had to sleep fully dressed. Throughout the entire night, the room never reached a comfortable temperature, and it was actually warmer in the hallway than inside the room.Overall, a very unpleasant stay with poor service and unacceptable room conditions. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

The room itself was a joke, straight out of the 1950's. Old lamps, old furniture, mediocre at best.I made a reservation through Booking.com. The promotion said that I did not have to pay for the room in advance. I paid about $70 for the night online. Upon arrival at about 9 AM, the desk clerk told me that I did not have a reservation. Apparently the reservation did not "take" in the system.Then the clerk refused to give me the price that I thought I had "locked in" through Booking.com, saying that the ONSITE rate was not the same as the online rate. This made no sense, and put the entire problem on MY shoulders. The clerk would NOT take any responsibility for the "lost" reservation. I had a confirmation number for that location for that night. That did not matter.He never did explain why the reservation was not confirmed. But, I now realize that I probably made the reservation TOO LATE to hold it without paying upfront.NOWHERE in the Booking.com promotion was the statement that the reservation WAS NOT GUARANTEED. Unless Booking.com wants to reimburse me for the entire amount I paid, $78.xx, I will not be using Booking.com to reserve anything, ever.
