Very clean, great location. The only thing is paying for parking…just not a fan of that

I loved the room setup, had a great breakfast

    Nothing!

I booked a suite for 3 people. They bummed us out of our room and put in a room with one before only. After I complained about it for 20 minutes, they finally gave us a room with 2 beds. I had 2 83 year old people, who were going to the hospital the next day. We were all very upset!! I will NEVER recommend this hotel!!

    Breakfast and concessions were good.

Waited 25 minutes at front desk for an employee to check us in. No one around, no one answering phone.Pillows were horrible in the room, woke up with stiff neck and soreness. Too fluffy.

Clean and comfortable. Well-equipped room with a kitchenette and fridge. Dog-friendly. Easy check in/out and friendly staff. Free breakfast with made-to-order breakfast quesadillas.

Parking was a bit of a hassle.

The setup of the hotel was different, but not bad. It was very open and bright. Breakfast was wonderful. Freshly cooked and delivered to you. I chose the ancient grain with egg. Very flavorful and filling.

Having never been at an element hotel, much less in the state, I had no idea of the layout. The fact that it was in a shared building with a bank, it wasn't clear how to get to the front desk. When I finally entered and was able to check in, I indicated I had never been to this hotel and was new to the state. The night clerk did not offer any information regarding the process, i.e where the elevators were, where the room was, if carts were available, where breakfast would be held, if there were ice machines, NOTHING.

We loved how clean it was and that it was in the middle of downtown we could walk everywhere and we didn't need to leave or drive anywhere. The breakfast was amazing. The pool was nice.

We just didn't like that sometimes the room got a little warm.

    10KaciPosted on: 7-3-2025

The staff was very friendly, and the whole building was extremely clean and well maintained. There was easy access from the interstate but quiet. We enjoyed the option of a hot or cold breakfast. If we didn't have kids with us, we would've loved to try the bar as well!

The pool was quite small and had a 9-person max capacity. Seemed small for the spaciousness of the rest of the hotel. We also couldn't take food outside of the bar. We would've liked to order and have food in the room since we had kids.

    5BradPosted on: 5-17-2025

    Location was great.

Was not aware of the breakfast being cooked to order and changing start times depending on the day of the week.

    10BreedlovePosted on: 3-26-2025

Lovely place, right near great nightlife spots. Very clean facilities and has an indoor pool! Overall amazing deal would forsure stay again! Greatly accommodating to out late check in time as well!

Love that there are larger rooms with seating area and a kitchenette. The breakfast and food options for purchase are great and the gym is fantastic. The staff is always very nice

The hot, made to order breakfast can be a little tricky during peak times. With only one cook, it takes a long time to get your food or you’re getting it at different times than the people you’re with. It would be great if there was more than one griddle and cook or if there was hot oatmeal or a waffle maker or something else to get a hot meal

The room was very cozy, bed and bedding was super comfortable, nice location downtown Iowa City, beautiful lobby, great breakfast options - the protein bowl was amazing & my family said the French toast was good as well. Staff were always friendly and kind.

Pool was small & strong chlorine smell, breakfast setup was odd and confusing, pillows were very flat and not very comfy, they need to be replaced with new ones.

Close location to U of Iowa campus. Clean rooms.Amazing breakfast!

    8SarahPosted on: 2-10-2025

Convenient to downtown and good breakfast

Parking was sometimes very crowded, but there was always something on a higher level

    5LancePosted on: 1-26-2025

Horrible experience with breakfast. Rude service. Bad food. Poor food choices. Hot mess.

    9MollyPosted on: 12-19-2024

The breakfast was excellent and the employees that were working during breakfast were very friendly and went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed.

The weather, but that is out of your control - lol. Everything was good and what we expected; however, the only thing I would mention is that it did not say anywhere that parking was an extra cost if you wanted to park in the ramp. We assumed, but it would have been nice to mention it in the description.
