The Lodge on Lake Oconee

Room was very nice.

The breakfast room was unbearably hot. Had to take our food to room.

People were great. Breakfast was good. Location good. Outside looked nice.

The inside was in DIRE need of attention. View of lake obscured because windows so dirty. Bathroom has slime ring at sink drain. Tub caulk was dotted with mildew. Faucets had either soap scum or hard water deposits. Disappointing.

Yes. The staff was not professional. When my colleague arrived to her room, put on her pajamas, and pulled the sheets back to go to sleep, she found dozens of black hairs all over the bed sheets and a soiled stain as well.

The hotel is a little dated, but the king room came with a sofa and chair. There was a lot of space to stretch out. Breakfast was good, but a little limited with choices. Overall, a really good experience.

Our experience was awful. We were overcharged by $--- for a room that was filthy, dangerous and experiencing maintenance issues.

There is nothing to like about this hotel.

The hotel smells like a dirty sock from the moment you walk-in. The bathtub does not drain and you end up showering in a pond of your own dirty water. The sink does not drain either. The general manager of the place has no consideration for his guests.

room STUNK! needs remodeling, shower disgusting, my room mate couldn't even take a shower she was so grossed out. Fire inspection out of date in elevator, creamers in breakfast room spoiled, should be refrigerated, ice machine broke, too expensive!

I booked a handicap room but was given a room on the second floor and had a tub they had no handicap rooms I booked this room a month ago a month ahead of time

The location was great. Room was satisfactory. Staff super friendly.

my check in with the front desk clerks was very pleasant and nice both the male and female but my check out time I waited almost 15 minutes before the lady came out and acknowledged the person after me first- finally she asked me "do you need a receipt"?

I don't understand the previous low ratings. We had two rooms for our family, both were spotless. We were very happy with this facility and would gladly stay again. Breakfast was on par with other hotels.

Nice outside areas by the lake. Left receipt under the door in the morning.

Room was very damp, even with A.C. turned low (69 degrees). Not very lodge-y (room was decorated very standard/plain). Had to ask front desk for shampoo, since was not in room.
