    Pros +

    • This cute little place was very conveniently located to downtown Clayton. It was just perfect for what we needed. Frank is an amazing host, very friendly and accommodating.
    • We stayed in a room at a mountain resort. The owner was pleasant and eager to help. if needed. Pleasant room & surroundings.
    • Room was very large with kitchenette. Lots of different places to sit including two very special rocking chairs. Very friendly staff including Midnight the mascot cat. Just like being in a mountain cabin.

    Cons -

    • The bed was a bit hard for our taste but everyone is different so I don¿t see this as a negative. Also we couldn¿t find any heat in the bathroom but it could have been that we didn¿t know where to look, otherwise, this little room was perfect
    • It was a bit older but "fitted the bill."
    • Bed squeaked a little which added to the cabin feel.

This hotel has a homey feeling to it as soon as you arrive. It's super clean and neat. Our room was very pretty with pine planknwalls and matelassie covered. The owner was super accommodating and nice. I would definately recommend it!

Everything was great. The room was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel at home right away. The warm, family atmosphere made our stay even more enjoyable. Sadly, it was only a one-night stay, but we would definitely stay here again.

    Everything was perfect

From the moment we arrived we were impressed. The sweetest black cat, midnight, greeted us with warm meows and purrs as we walked onto the porch. Going inside, Frank, the owner and operator of Mountain Aire greeted us with a smile in a very friendly atmosphere. After some entertaining chat he escorted us across the drive to our room where he'd prepared a personalized welcome sign for myself and the wifey. He opened the door for us and began to explain how the remote for the ac/heat worked, showed us the tv and guide channel, and insisted that if there was anything at all we needed to let him know. The rooms are themed. Our room was a trout and fishing theme, and he showed us another room that was purely America. Everything worked and everything was remarkably clean. This place is wonderful. A better deal than any other place in town including the Dillard House. Great location only minutes from town, restaurants and shopping. But surprisingly quiet and very comfortable. There's even an outdoor firepit area that ALL guests are welcome to use. Frank also has expertly taken this property and is upgrading it himself. He has a helper, but as he told us, he was going to be doing some stone work as he's put in a yurt and even a teepee for guest. BOTH by the way were beautiful and looked incredibly comfortable. Wifey and I have stayed at many places in Clayton, but we'll only be staying at Mountain Air from now on.

The only thing we needed but didn't have was drawers for us to unpack into. BUT, for a night's stay that wasn't a problem as there was plenty of room in the closet to hang clothes and great space for our bags too.

The owner Frank is on site every day for anything you might need. Renovated the old rooms to resemble cabins! Great vibes from the '40's. 5 mins from downtown, food, shops. Very cozy and comfortable

    Nothing!

Frank is old school Mr Hospitality he has gone above and beyond trying to make your stay comfortable. This place is truly a hidden gem in Clayton Ga.We will be back an look forward to his new endeavor with the yurt and teepee rental.

Only dislike was for all the years my wife and I have traveled this area an we never knew Mountain Aire was here. But that has changed now we both have saved Franks contact info in our phones.

This was such a neat and quaint property that was very clean and cozy with the owner providing hospitality like no other. I love what he has done with the rooms and cottages and the vision he has for his addition of glamping. The Yurt has my attention. I would definitely stay there again. Great location as well, close to downtown Clayton.

    I don't have any complaints.

A clean, straightforward place to stay for a decent price. Close to town/ food.
