La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Usf (Near Busch Gardens)

Location was perfect. We were only there for a concert at the college, which was right across the street so everything was an easy walking distance.

The hotel is currently under renovation, so there is a smell to it, but that didn’t stop us. Our room was comfortable enough.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was great.

The rooms were dingy the hallway carpets were filthy. There was a horrible odor in the hall and room. The person in the room had the tv volume all the way up all day and all night. When I called the front desk in the middle of the night they did not resolve the problem. When I tried to call back there was no answer.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The front staff was very helpful. I like that i was able to cancel the rest of my stay at no charge.

The hotel is really run down. The majority of people staying here were pot-smoking , cat-calling riff raff. We were supposed to stay 3 nights, but I was able to cancel my reservations for the other 2 nights.

The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful and was eager to make things right. They greeted us every morning with a smile and asked if there was anything we needed.

The TV remote was a problem, everytime we used the guide to select a channel it would give us a different channel than the one selected. The bathtub faucet leaked

I originally booked my stay for three nights. I ended up staying one night. On the second day of my stay, the water was shut off. I had to call the front desk to ask if this was intentional. I wish they would have called all the rooms, or left notices in the rooms that the water would be shut off. While I was watching TV, a roach appeared on the alarm clock. The front desk staff was kind enough to find me a new room. Unfortunately, when I went to the new room there were two dead roaches near the air conditioner and one dead roach on the window sill. I told the front desk and decided to end my stay. I found another hotel (under a different brand) for the remainder of my vacation. The building really needs some serious upgrades. I noticed water stains by the windows and stains/marks on the walls. Also, the door locks didn’t seem secure.

The room was good and clean enough and the bed linens smelled fresh

The lobby and hallways are really in need of a remodel, dirty looking enough that I thought of leaving. Bleach stains on the carpets and dirty walls, elevator was in bad shape.
