The bed was lumpy and the pillows and duvet were subpar for the price.

It was the perfect location, right in the heart of downtown. Hotel was beautiful, nice pool area, friendly staff. Gelato and sorbet in the lobby! Spa for me, golf for my husband. I was so happy we chose to stay here.

These are small things, but there wasn't a gift shop to buy toiletries and snacks. They have a shop but it was more for clothing. Also, I had to do some work while I was there and was surprised there wasn't a small desk and chair in the room.

Friendliness of staff and willingness to help.

Resort fee tacked on to charges at 40/day was unexpected.

The helpful, cheerful employees made the visit very enjoyable. They are trained to assist with a smile. Staff at the front desk was the most accommodating person I've ever met. They weren't to busy and she took the time to show me some of the property

The construction made navigating difficult, but I will be back after they finish to see the glory of a 1925 historic building that deserves its place on the register.

The location, staff, hotel, porch, amenities, and pool are fabulous.

Hotel room was surface clean/disinfected, it could have benefited from a deep cleaning (baseboards, vents, carpet/upholstery, corners, bathtub). The drinks at the lobby bar were ridiculously expensive ($25 for one drink with medium shelf liquor).

The service was excellent in the restaurants and at the pool; amenities, view and location were all outstanding. Our room itself was extremely spacious with two gorgeous, gigantic windows.

Had to wait 45 mins for our room, and our bathroom left much to be desired. There were rust stains on the tub surround and a dark unknown stain down the middle of the tub, as well as peeling wallpaper. Definitely in need of a renovation/update/repair.

Breakfast was $70 for two people. Very basic and not up to par w the rest of the hotel, buffet service was also not good

We moved rooms for a view which cost quit a bit more and the room had the loudest ac unit I have ever heard. It sounded like a jet plane revving up its engines for takeoff. Woke up during the night every time it came on. Slow response from staff sometimes

The location is excellent.

The hotel is listed as a 4 star however the room I stayed in was very outdated. The furniture was cracked, scraped, chipped. The tile in the bathroom was chipped and shower discolored. It did not have a 4 star feeling at all!

Covid put a damper on enjoying amenities but it made us have little contact with people. Mask requirement is great!

Old world charm. A classic.

I appreciate the early check in, however, I did not like having a room next door to the elevators. Rooms are outdated. I purchased two drinks, what a surprise to view a bill in the amount of $30 dollars. This hotel is extremely expensive!

We had wanted two queen beds for our stay, but was not available for us and we spent a fortune to sleep on a cot.

I had to experience an inquisition in order to get my free breakfast. It was so degrading, I left without being served !!!

We were in the oldest part of hotel and the aesthetic feels outdated in the rooms.

The old warm charm and location of this hotel were wonderful.We had a great weekend stay and were able to walk to lots of good restaurants and to bike along the waterfront.

The location was perfect for the area. Great outside bar area on the veranda overlooking the water. Nice pool.

It has a nice vintage feeling, with some modern updates, but the room lacks that something special that other hotels often offer. The amenities could have been upgraded, and the room needed a fresh update as well.

The room was large and well appointed - comfortable bed and plenty of room. Very convenient to anything downtown.

The staff was cold and unfriendly. I grew up in St. Pete while the hotel was closed. I was excited to stay here until checking in - the clerk was rude and dismissive.
