Coombs Inn & Suites

Staff was very accommodating and friendly and easy to reach. Good location. Temperature in room was easy to control and worked well. Nice size room.

Main overhead light and fan did not work. We only found two outlets and one didn’t work. Cheap and old table and chairs. Room was not thoroughly cleaned. Old dust everywhere, Shower very slow to drain. Cracked tiles in shower. Our room overdue an update.

Nice historic house in a great location. Loved the wraparound porch with table and chairs, and rocking chairs.

Rooms could be cleaned better. And we were there for three nights and never saw a housekeeper and our room was never refreshed.

location and price for our last minute stay

the check-in process was online and didn't work - I couldn't get the online key after several attempts. It took 3 phone calls to get hold of someone who could help. I had to drive to another location (admittedly close by) to get physical key cards.

Location

The room is in need of repair. The bathroom sink would not turn off at the faucet and the shut under the sink had to be used. The shower door was extremely corroded. The jacuzzi tub would not drain- floor needs to be level. The handle falls off.?.

I liked everything equally. Nothing bad to say. It was quiet. I recommend this hotel to people all the time.

I miss the breakfast that used to be included, but definitely is not deal breaker.

The hotel is like an old house very nice it feels more a home then a hotel the lobby is not open all night but check in went very well with good directions to fallow I just like this place

There was an unmanned telephone right outside of our room that rang almost nonstop. Loudly. Nobody ever answered it, and it made it all but impossible to sleep.

Very comfortable bed and good location to everything we were doing.

It wasn't as clean as I like. The bathroom glass counter above the sink was not clean and the mantel above the fireplace was not clean. There was a heavy layer of dust on the coffee maker. We were to be in the main building but were placed in another one.

Taxes and added fees were 50% more than the quoted price of the room. There was very little security where they placed us by ourselves.

Location

It was dark, no staff the majority of the time one of ours rooms was not clean or what we had reserved. No food except coffee from coffee makers that didn¿t work. Very disappointing compared to our previous visits.

Proximity to downtown.

At the time we were there, there was no breakfast. My expectation was to have breakfast. Had I known this prior to booking I most likely would have chosen another location. Service issues with staff. No temperature control in rooms.

Location of Hotel was good. Within walking distance from downtown.

Very disappointed. Had stayed there about 6 years ago and the experience was better (cleaner, had breakfast, now none). This is more of like a $-- motel than a $---- hotel. No coffee, WiFi not working. Floors were unswept.

Location was great

I felt misled. There was a leak in the ceiling in the bedroom. The shower curtain did not close up around the tub and shower was dirty. the water temperature only got lukewarm. Staff wouldn¿t answer the front door when people knocking (multiple times).

Location is awesome! Love the history of the house and it feels like you stepped back in time. Nice get away from the busy and loud day to day. We love this b&b. Will be back next year!

The dining room and breakfast area is temporarily closed right now. (Covid) We were disapointed the wine/cheese,cookies & history story telling was cancelled. Suggestion:put some prepackaged food out in a self serve stand and some flavoredrcoffee creamer.

Close to st george island

Limited staff. Extra charges on credit card statement. Called hotel to get copy of receipt and as of this day still have not received. Manager not very responsive. stayed 1 extra day before they added extra charges to our bill. Will not stay here aga

Unique design and character

Kuerig coffee dispenser was in the room, but no K-cups for making it

The rooms with pale yellow walls and white crown molding and trim were reminiscent of the old south. A dining room instead of an eating area. Dark wood in the entry. Very cool.

They take large pets for a reasonable rate. They are very pet friendly.

Breakfast was served a little late for us.

Just about everything I was lousy. The room was dirty the Linens and blankets were disgusting. The bed was very uncomfortable. The sheet was almost non-existent. It was very cold in there that night and no way to turn up the heat. Terrible

The location was the main thing. Staff were nice and accommodating. The front desk staff was a bit distracted upon arrival but Housekeeping staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodating!

Flood lights from outside aimed directly into our room. Lights remained on all night. There were no drapes or anything from inside to use to block the light. It was cold during our stay so we needed to sleep under the blanket provided.
