    Pros +

    • Location is what you get here
    • Good & fun bar onsite, also good restaurant. Location is fairly close to Gondola. Vending machines on each floor. Nice lobby. Comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. Large TV. Great staff. Allowed late checkout. Has ski valet. Room ready at 11:30am.
    • The staff was exceptional and helpful. It was nice to have an ottoman next to each bed for sitting. It was nice to have coffee and breakfast items available in the lobby.

    Cons -

    • The bed was so uncomfortable felt the springs and no AC
    • Path to the tram route and Gondola had challenging snow to pass through. Lobby periodically had slight "gas" odor due to wind path. The double queen-sized rooms seemed small. Bar & restaurant stop food service at 9pm. Vending machine choices limited
    • The rooms are old. The pictures look nicer than the room actually is.

first floor room and very handy. Nicely decorated. Nice lobby for sitting and relaxing.

Kids were allowed to run up and down the hallway screaming and dogs barking up and down the hallway. Very hard to go to sleep with all the noise outside the door. Staff was very helpful finding parking and seeing that everything was o.k.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff were exceptional, the room tidy and clean. Would have liked a continental breakfast or it would be full-star. We will come back again. Good parking at the hotel too which is very important

    The location.

No hot water. Hair dryer did not work. Staff said we ¿refused maintenance twice¿ but we had our 2 dogs in our room & had a dinner reservation to get to. Had to speak with them 3x to get any compensation. Not worth saving a few bucks to stay here.

Good location located between lionshead and vail village.

Adjoining room woke us up around midnight playing loud music and smoking marijuana. Had to cover the door Cracks with a blanket and call the front desk to block out the smoke and reduce the noise enough to get some sleep.

    Location

No AC!!! Hotel was rundown. Carpets were dirty. Bathroom fan not working. Really disappointed with my stay.

    10MarianaPosted on: 6-4-2020

Very clean, the bed was comfortable.

No microwave inside the room, had to go to the business center. The pool was under maintenance and couldn't use it. They only have one small fan tower and It got a lil hot until you open the window.

I stayed at this hotel when my husband was in the hospital next door to it. The location was very convenient. The staff was efficient and friendly.

The hotel was very outdated and shabby. The carpet in the room was pretty gross, and the bed was not comfortable. Additionally, I found a piece of candy lying on the ground that had not been cleaned since the last guest. The common areas were also bad.

    10CharlesPosted on: 8-15-2019

It was close to the hospital for our surgical appointment. The bar/restaurant met our needs for meals.

We wish there was a microwave for heating a heat pack.

good location, close to bus route. cleanliness of room. free ski storage

only 1 of the 2 elevators was working, restaurant was not open for breakfast. overall the motel needed a facelift

    5DanielPosted on: 8-17-2018

Location was excellent in Vail Room was clean

Seriously, NO air conditioning in a room that faces I-70? Room was hot and stuffy...hotel did provide a fan and we could open a window but the window was directly above the kitchen part of the hotel's restaurant. Gas and cooking smells were strong.

    7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 7-1-2018

    Affordable. Clean. Good location.

The door to our room would not open without a hard shove. The bathroom door would not shut since the frame had shifted.

    6DavidPosted on: 5-22-2017

Good location. Helpful staff. Decent wifi.

This is a hotel in dire need of a makeover. Looks dated. Carpets were stained. Evidence of wear throughout. Thermostat in the room didn't work. Lacks modern conveniences like outlets in appropriate places to charge devices. Not all TV channels worked.

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 2-24-2017

Fantastic location! Easy, quick walk into downtown Vail and easy quick walk to a free bus that takes about 60 seconds to get to Lionshead where the lifts and mountains are. Restaurant is pretty good and the room was nice.

    9TravisPosted on: 1-4-2017

check in was simple and parking was on-site which can be a pain in vail.

dogs were a little loud way too early on some mornings.

    4RyanPosted on: 8-31-2016

Good location, decently clean rooms, good price for the area.

A little old and run down, I left an item behind after checking out and housekeeping did not turn it in which is unfortunate.

    4Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 6-24-2016

Check in agent was rude. The hotel was oldoing and run-downed. It was hot in the hotel and rooms. The hotel smelled like a wet dog. Our room had rips in the screen and dust everywhere.

    10CrystalPosted on: 6-21-2016

Location and hotel bar/restaurant. Great local feel and fun atmosphere. Love the nice patio overlooking the pool and river.

The breakfast buffet (not included in room cost) needs a little makeover. More options!
