    • This hotel is beautiful! We absolutely loved our time here, our one night stay ended up being a highlight of our trip. Beautiful grounds, clean, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. Board games and DVDs for guest use. Loved the hot tub. Recommend!!
    • The food was delicious and the wine was perfect. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying the view and listening to the live music.
    • everything. Enjoyed the restaurant next door and the music in the evenings.

    Cons -

    • I loved everything. However, I recommend adding swing arm locks be installed at the top of doors for the rooms that allow children. The bolts make it easier for small children to unlock and wander. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. We'd stay again.
    • lighting a little weak in bathroom
    • No - everything was great!

Vintage charm with unique amenities. The soaking tubs are so relaxing and the staff is welcoming.

It is bit pricey but in my opinion very worth the stay!

Quirky, vintage hotel. Nice parlor. Blue Wing restaurant on site is terrific. 2nd floor rooms All seem to have nice balconies.

Stairs are steep as usual in vintage places.

    Everything

Had a bit of trouble getting clarification about a late check out. Eventually got an hour extra but had to ask for it 3 times.

    9DavidPosted on: 9-30-2025

Breakfast was ok.A little basic, Blue wings restaurant at hotel was good. Music one night. Town very quiet, deserted.

More action in vicinity of hotel would have been nice.

    Historical. Quaint. Quiet.

This is a delightful historic building. The staff and the atmosphere were very friendly. The bedroom and bathroom were big and the bed was really comfy with super linens. It was very convenient to have the Blue Wing next door and we enjoyed the live music over the weekend.

    Lovely boutique hotel. Beautifully renovated.

The swimming pool was closed and were not told in advance. Cannot book a table in Restsurant through the hotel. Confusing when all are owned by same owner. Does not make sense.

We enjoyed our stay at Tallman Hotel - our room was very nice and had everything we needed, it was also very quiet (we are light sleepers), the parking lot has EV charging stations. There's a nice restaurant right next to the hotel.

Breakfast was just okay, our options were: granola, fat-free yogurt, croissants, jam and honey, boiled eggs, and some fruits.

We have eaten often at the restaurant and it is great. Music was fun. This was our first time at the hotel and it was just super, especially the hot bath/tub in our little patio. Decor lovely as was staff.

    10TheresaPosted on: 9-2-2024

The hotel was beautiful and luxurious in its historical decor as well as ultra modern amenities. From the linens to the bathroom to the drapes to the 2nd floor porch overlooking the garden and its alfresco dining area. Such a wonderfully unexpected gem after a long drive from Lake Tahoe. Wish we could have stayed longer. Even the Continental breakfast was a treat. Delicious and served on fine china.

Being elderly, wish there was an elevator for the luggage.
