    Pros +

    • Everything: location, staff, safety, really modern welcoming and clean. A better shower than most hotels. 4 blocks from train.
    • The location is the best thing about the hostel. Also, housekeeping does a good job keeping it clean, esp. the women's bathrooms. Loved the spacious showers on 2nd-4th floors, the kitchen & cozy fireplace area. Felt like a home away from home.
    • It was steps from the beach, located on a lovely street, lots of restaurants and a Target within easy walking distance. The hostel offered a nice breakfast every morning, they had several activities in which to participate with others, like a comedy night

    Cons -

    • Not having a curtain on bunk. Or at least something to block light of bunk mate.
    • Most of the staff was unfriendly. Breakfast each morning consisted of the same cheap cereal, cheap bread etc. Didn't like how my roomies and I weren't allowed to open the window in our room. Room was stuffy and smelly. And heat was on most of the time.

    Nice people

I didn¿t like how the hostel didn¿t provide any parking. My son and I had to park across the street in the parking garage. We stayed 3 nights which we had to pay $---. That was very inconvenient.

    Location! Food,mall,beach!

The location is incredible, hotel staff is always here if you need anything, the hotel is clean and welcoming, and you get to meet a bunch of people from different parts of the world. If you¿re staying in Santa Monica, it¿s the place to stay.

The beds are really loud and they don¿t tell you but you have to pay $4 extra/nights that¿s part of a membership you need in order to stay.

The location is fantastic! Facilities were much cleaner and newer than I expected. Even communal spaces like the kitchen and lounge were clean. Key cards were convenient.

It's a hostel, so remember to bring shower shoes, toiletries, and sleep aids. Earplugs and an eye mask are very handy.

The best experience ever. I was not sure what to expect but I was very happy with my experience. I loved every moment.
